Fandom Clinic; Thursday [02/10].
Libby's study work that day seemed to involve reviewing a lot of unusual and bizarre emergency room cases, she assumed to give her a better idea of just how wide the breadth of possibilities truly was and how to think outside of the box, but she got the feeling that most of the stranger cases simply involved someone going and putting something somewhere that it definitely didn't belong, and reviewing these cases and having to come up with how she could have handled it if she were put in those scenarios was definitely doing a lot help her practice not being too squeamish! And among all the ones that made her wince and cringe just thinking about them, there were a few oddly fascinating ones, and she couldn't help thinking of the fact that some of these were probably nothing compared to some of the odd and strange things the nurses here at the Fandom Clinic had to deal with, and, so honestly? She hurried through her worksheets so that she could just ask them some of their stories, because that felt far more helpful and engaging than just reading about them.
To think, at one point in her life, she thought Littles sticking Legos up their noses would be the worst of it, too!

The Front Desk - 02/10.
Or just talk to her about normal stuff, too, that's totally acceptable and honestly a little welcome.

She'd also been a little worried, that all these stories of weird emergency room tales might have put her off her appetite in the event that Kurt did drop in, but all it took was one whiff of what he'd brought to assure her that she had nothing to worry about on that front.
"And that sounds amazing, Kurt, thank you! How has your day been?"
Re: The Front Desk - 02/10.
"Things have been good. I wanted to thank you again for letting me use some of your papers a week or so ago. I
handwavelygot a few letters written and sent back home. Just got a letter back from the Professor this morning!"Re: The Front Desk - 02/10.
"I got one back from Mama a little bit ago," she added. "She sent a whole bunch of pictures of baby Hope; she's already getting so big!" Her smile was a little sad there, though, a little bittersweet, since the latest addtion to the Hazlett clan was the first one that Libby wasn't there to help take care of and raise, and she couldn't think about it without feeling a small pang of guilt. "And my friend Zo," she chased the feeling away with a laugh and a roll of her eyes, a shake of her head, "just texted me to ask why I bothered writing letters, but I think she kind of liked it."
Re: The Front Desk - 02/10.
"It's good hearing back from home isn't it?" Here he had to give a laugh and a slight eye roll of his own. "Things seem pretty much the same back at the Academy. Logan and Scott are still bickering as usual. And Kitty...well my version of Kitty has been helping the Professor with some things at the school."
Kurt shook his head as he thought back on the notion of writing letters to Professor Xavier of all people. He then realized the humor in that would be lost on Libby so he continued.
"It's kinda odd, writing letters to the Professor... him being a telepathic Mutant and all" he said with a bit of a shrug.
Re: The Front Desk - 02/10.
There had definitely been times, growing up, when she almost thought her parents were telepathic, the way they could just read her like a book, but then she grew a bit older and realized she could always tell when the Little tried to fib or make up stories, it just kind of went along with growing up, she supposed.

handwaveymutants at the school who can actually affect electronics and such so computers are not always a reliable option. And I don't think the Professor even owns a phone" Kurt added with a shrug.Re: The Front Desk - 02/10.
She could only shake her head again.
Good luck explaining why you didn't finish your homework!
"I bet he liked the letter, though," she added. "I know I would, even if I could also read minds. Might be nice to take the break."
Re: The Front Desk - 02/10.
"I used to say my folks could read minds too... or at least that they had eyes on the back of their head. They did a good job keeping up with a troublemaker like me so they might as well have had super powers!" Kurt paused for a moment and then gave Libby a small smile. "Guess all parents have some level of super power huh?"

He also had a hot chocolate as a sort of 'sorry for temporarily abandoning you' offering.
"Quiet day so far?" he asked, like he hadn't just rolled in looking like he'd lost a fight (with a car) recently.
Re: The Front Desk - 02/10.
"Quiet so far!" she remarked, standing up from where she was sitting and wondering if she should get one of the nurses or go help him out herself. "Dr. Halstead! I thought you-- Didn't you-- Are you okay?" She was definitely coming out from around the desk now for a better look. "What happened?"
Re: The Front Desk - 02/10.
Re: The Front Desk - 02/10.
The only thing really saving him, really, was the fact that there were no cars on the island, so, clearly, it hadn't been that recent.
So dubious was brought down to wary, and she considered his wounds with skepticism before asking, "When did it happen? Where did you get it check out? Shoudln't you be resting?"
Re: The Front Desk - 02/10.
Re: The Front Desk - 02/10.
"Well, then," Libby said, "hello, Dr. Halstead. It's very nice to see you again. Now will you please go home and rest, or, barring that, I'm sure you'll find the beds in the exam rooms surprisingly comfy."
Re: The Front Desk - 02/10.
"Bossy," he tsked at her, but it wasn't in a disapproving way. "How about we take over one of the exam rooms and drink these," he held up the hot chocolates, "and you can fill me in on what I've missed
however handwavily, and then I'll go- home." Forgive him if he stumbled over that last word, he was still getting used to the idea of Fandom being more than temporary. The Exam Rooms - 02/10.
