Fandom Clinic, Monday 1/17
Stark hadn't left his apartment all weekend. Stark had barely managed to get off his couch after Faye had left. And now there was snow and ice and and it was cold and that only made him feel worse. He'd never liked the cold. He liked it even less right now. Right now, to be fair, he didn't like anything.
He hadn't brought any coffee or anything else with him this morning to the clinic. He'd just walked in without a word, shrugged out of his coat, then turned and started opening cupboards at random, looking for something to do to occupy his hands at least. The cupboards didn't really need organizing. He was going to do it anyway.
The nurses seemed to have decided to keep their distance though there were some whispered conversations he was choosing to pretend he didn't notice.
[The clinic is open, the very distraught alien is in, and there's no school today so I'm theoretically around.]

Re: Front Desk
...they had been very insistent.
"Coffee is passe," he said, holding it out. "This is, allegedly, cherry."
Re: Front Desk
"Cherry?" Stark echoed, turning to see who had walked in and then just blinking a few times in confusion. "Cherry what? Anakin?"
Yes, obviously Anakin, but Stark wasn't exactly at his best at the moment.
Re: Front Desk
Re: Front Desk
"Thank you," Stark said, almost automatically as he reached for it. "But why did you bring it here? Did you need help? Did something happen?"
There could have been an invasion going on outside and he wouldn't have noticed. He was very much stuck inside his own head right now.
Re: Front Desk
Re: Front Desk
"Thank you," Stark said quietly before taking a bite. Was eating raccoon shaved ice a good idea? Maybe not. Did he care right now? No.
"I'm...you heard."
Re: Front Desk
The traditional gift for breakups?
Re: Front Desk
Re: Front Desk
"I don't know," Anakin admitted, "but it can't hurt."
You couldn't die of eating ice from the sidewalk, right?
Re: Front Desk
"You may be right." Or maybe it would hurt but he wouldn't notice because he was just a walking ball of confused hurt at the moment.
"I was planning on alcohol. Later. I hadn't thought of flavored ice."

Re: Front Desk
Re: Front Desk
It was not enough. He hadn't really eaten yesterday either.
"Maybe another day."
He might need to be hauled out of one of the bars and forcibly fed, honestly.
Re: Front Desk
Re: Front Desk
"No."
The situation was really quite dire.
Re: Front Desk
Re: Front Desk
Stark was still eating the shaved ice. He was trying. He was just doing it sadly.

Re: Front Desk
Re: Front Desk
Stark might have gotten used to the idea, given a little time. But he hadn't been given any time.
"She's gone and I don't know what to do."
Re: Front Desk
"Eat some cupcakes, drink a lot and watch some deeply stupid holos," Anakin advised.
Re: Front Desk
"Maybe. I don't know. I...I just got used to not being alone."
Re: Front Desk
"I could come over and we could eat cupcakes, drink, and watch terrible holos?"
Re: Front Desk
Because just look at how extremely fine Stark was doing, Anakin. So fine.
Re: Front Desk
Re: Front Desk
"... all right. We could do that."
Re: Front Desk
Surely nothing weird would happen on Thursday!
Re: Front Desk
"I...maybe. I don't...there's nothing I need to do on Thursdays. Or Fridays. Or the weekend. Tomorrow I have class, at least. And radio on Wednesday."
Stark's weeks were very frontloaded. He might be regretting that right now.
Re: Front Desk
Rory would make him bring both. And a pizza. And some cookies. And Ben and Jerry's. Ben and Jerry's was the food of wallowing.
Re: Front Desk
Maybe he'd even be hungry by Thursday. There was hope for that, at least.
