"I'd offer to shower you with gold, but I'm a bit short on that at the moment." Tick Tick coughed. "However if you've anything that needs fixing, I could help you out with that once I'm on my feet again."
Millie smiled. "Neither gold not repairs are required. Why don't you come right on in here (http://fandom-clinic.livejournal.com/677711.html?thread=12486735#t12486735)."
Millie noticed her exhaustion and used a small amount of magic to assist her in getting up on the table. She focused, using her abilities to try and see what was going on inside the young woman's body. "Can you tell me what's been going on?"
"As I understand it, there was some kind of attempt to turn humans into Elves. And one of the results is that the flu is now able to infect Elves. So, I have the flu, one of the first Elves to ever get it. Lucky me."
Millie frowned. "That doesn't seem like a wise idea." She focused in further. "I can sense something odd, something that shouldn't be there. I think I can fix that. I'm not sure if it will cure you right away, but it should at least allow your body to heal itself properly."
Tick Tick frowned. She actually felt irrationally guilty over the whole thing. The idea that some humans envied her so badly that they would do what they had to themselves shook her. If only they knew that many of the Elves in Bordertown were exiles.
She couldn't answer right away, as a coughing fit hit her then. With her head and throat hurting, that was very unpleasant.
"It may feel uncomfortable or burn a little," Millie said apologetically as she placed a hand on the woman's arm. "But the discomfort should pass quickly."
She closed her eyes and focused on changing the not right bits that she'd found.
Tick Tick's immune system was already hard at work battling the infection, and it certainly appreciated the help. There was a slight burning sensation, but given the fever, it wasn't very noticeable.
Though her head seemed to hurt less after a bit, and her breathing got easier. "I, I think it's working."
After a few minutes, Millie removed her hand, shaken and sweating from the effort. "There," she said, sounding a bit strained. "I think all the wrong things are gone. I've done about all I can in any case. I hope it helps."
Tick Tick took the first clear deep breath she'd been able for a long time. The brave front she'd been putting up for Orient and Leda dropped for a moment as she allowed her relief to wash over her.
"Oh Gods, thank you. Are you sure there is nothing I can do for you?"
"Of course," Millie said, hoping she wasn't as she didn't think she could manage another healing such as this one so soon. She opened the door. "Leda, could you come in for a moment, please?"
And they wouldn't dream of asking her too. If Leda was infected, it'd be in the early stages, and she could just hang out on the island for a bit till Millie was ready.
Leda wouldn't mind it would mean she could put off having to explain herself to Leander and her friends.
"How is she?" she asked when she came into the room.
"Doing much better, I believe," Millie said with a smile. "I think I took care of all the things that were not right, though it may still take some time before her body heals itself. I was hoping to take a quick look to see if you had been infected as well."
Millie gave her a tired smile. "She should still get a good amount of rest for a while to give her body time to build itself back up. Other than that, I think she's good to go."
Talk to Millie
Re: Talk to Millie
Tick Tick was not an adventurous sort, so traveling via portal and side car while under the weather was not her idea of a good time.
"Let's never do that again shall we?" she muttered.

Then she'd followed Millie into the room, and used the last bit of her energy to get up on the table.

Leda felt somehow redeemed for not having been able to help Triela. "I knew bringing her here was the right thing to do."
