FTEC -- Monday [July 5]
Ino was, on her first shift back after all of--after--very very focused on her studies. If she’d known more then maybe...
Maybes never did help, they really didn’t, and she knew that. But maybe, if she’d known more, she could’ve done something.
(Anything.)
So, it was a very busy sort of day, while Ino studied feverishly and ignored any glances the nurses tossed her.
[That Cloud and Ino talked is FB, what they talked about is NFB, please.]

Day Shift -- Front Desk
Re: Day Shift -- Front Desk
And Cloud found the Infirmary. A round of applause would be appreciated. "Still want to talk?"
Re: Day Shift -- Front Desk
As Ino dropped the onus of starting said talk deliberately in his lap. She was so kind, really.
Really!
Re: Day Shift -- Front Desk
LittleGirls were certainly a threat in this island."Yes, right." So how did he began? Well, maybe for the subject that was nagging him the most.
"How do you know Zack? And how much do you know about him?"
Re: Day Shift -- Front Desk
"You take a good long look at the room assignments when you got here?"
Re: Day Shift -- Front Desk
"I found my name and stopped searching, and I didn't know Zack was here at that moment."
Re: Day Shift -- Front Desk
Re: Day Shift -- Front Desk
"Alright. You two..." Of coruse they two. Hm, this was certainly interesting.
...Huh.
"...Alright." Someone was entering in a loop here.
Re: Day Shift -- Front Desk
And she didn't know why. Would Cloud tell her? Probably not, no, she had to admit, but Ino wasn't above trying to get information out of him.
Re: Day Shift -- Front Desk
And well....there was Aerith; this Zack could have not met her just yet -Cloud would be pissed with Zack, alive or not, if he were double timing or something like that-.
Then there was Zack's fate, and what it could mean to Ino. Cloud was giving her a very serious glance at that moment. She wasn't a regular person, he could tell. Different how, Cloud was clueless, but trusting Reno, Ino was not only a
littlegirl that was on the island because her parents send her there. And while she obviously knew more of him than he of her...she would tell him what she wanted. He was staring at her quite a bit now.
"You do what you want to do; it's up to you decide whether if it's a good or a bad choice." He looked away. "I don't pretend to tell you what you should be doing or not." He was a sucky adviser at any rate. "Reno and I...fought each other a number of times." But she seemed to have a positive view of the Turk, so Cloud refrained from saying more. Trusting Ino, she already knew all concerning to the Turks. "Has he told you about me?"
Re: Day Shift -- Front Desk
The commentary was even odder, when she gave it a few seconds thought. The bit about Reno, she dismissed.
"He said," she said, with a shrug. "And I weren't exactly askin' you to advise me, but I like opinions. What's yours? He told me you saved the world?"
Which wasn't exactly what Reno had told her. But Ino was definitely going to skirt over the whole 'well, I know your mind got fucked with some how and you believed you were Zack/had lived Zack's life for some reason and that let you... save the world'.
Ino's understanding of events was peculiar, yes.
Re: Day Shift -- Front Desk
"Zack is a good person." And Ino would never know how close he was to have said 'was a good person'. "Probably the best person I've ever met. I don't think that being or not being...with him is good or bad. It's just a choice." Some people didn't have the chance to choose over worse stuff, after all.
And he had told her. "It's...not that simple. That's the simple, small version; the one the Turks would obviously go for." He was probably being slightly despective there.
Re: Day Shift -- Front Desk
"The one the Turks would obviously go for?"
Re: Day Shift -- Front Desk
"The version that's easier to use, and even easier to understand." He was sounding a little more bitter now. "The one that doesn't make them sound as the guilty ones, of course."
Re: Day Shift -- Front Desk
She just settled for looking thoughtful. "You've got a different take on it?"
What she really meant was: want to share?
Re: Day Shift -- Front Desk
But, that wasn't the scenario. "Shinra did a lot of good things for people. And a lot of bad things for people, too. And all the while they..." They almost killed the planet, hurt my friends, killed your boyfriend, and the list goes on. He wasn't that horrible to just blurt that all out.
"The very foundations of what they wanted to do was rotten to the core. Maybe the Turks have stopped being an issue, maybe they even did good things...but they were Shinra. I'm not ready to let that go just yet." Or ever, he wasn't sure.
Re: Day Shift -- Front Desk
Re: Day Shift -- Front Desk
It was a split second answer. And his was a dead serious stare, the mako eyes adding the creepiness factor. "They knew what was happening, and maybe they didn't make a direct contribution, but they didn't oppose it. They allowed, helped Shinra." Now Cloud was the one leaning back in his chair. "Most of them, of course, got out of that without any punishment, and I don't complain about that. But there is a difference between them and the Turks." And SOLDIER, of course.
Re: Day Shift -- Front Desk
It was refreshingly honest.
"That the Turks took the dirty work and went out and did it? And then defended their actions?"
Re: Day Shift -- Front Desk
"Ask Reno about Sector 7. That if you don't know already. If you do...then we are clearly of opposite points of view; as impossible as it sounds, I would like to at least remain on speaking terms with you; this has been interesting. If you don't know about Sector 7...chances are he won't tell you. Then ask me again, why they are different." He stood up. "Or rather, don't ask him; he is your friend, I guess; if he has earned your trust, things are better off that way."
He was concerned about Ino, not Reno.
Re: Day Shift -- Front Desk
"I know about Sector 7," she said finally. "And I know what it cost him, personally, in terms of humanity to do it."
Re: Day Shift -- Front Desk
"Yeah, it cost more to a lot of other people...see you around, Ino." And he was gone silently.
Re: Day Shift -- Front Desk
Either way: Cloud was touuuchy.
And Ino needed to think. A lot.
