Ino was always vaguely bored with break weeks and, so far, this one was looking to be no exception. She had her phone out in the hopes that someone would call her with a mission but wasn't really expecting it and so, had her medical notebooks out and was in full study mode.

Yes, she studied during her free time. This wasn't new, and it was something that kept her quiet and focused and both of those were good things.

Still, Ino vaguely hoped for a distraction. Right now, she really missed Ichigo for some reason.

Jennifer stepped into the clinic, all not-green. She had one hand pressed against her leg with a little cloth, and there was a tiny amount of blood visible on the cloth.

"Hey Ino," Jennifer said, her expression one of a mix of happiness at seeing her friend and general displeasure at the fact she'd had to walk down to the clinic because of all this.

"I kinda cut myself shaving. And I don't have any bandages. It's not bad, though."

Ino's thought process of Hi Jen woah you're not green was abruptly derailed by the fact that there was an injury to be taken care of.

Even if the rest of the details made her lips twitch at that.

She set her notebook down and slipped out of her chair. "I can deal with it, if you'd like?" she asked archly. "But if you've really got your heart set on bandages..."

"You can?" Jennifer said. "I... did I know that? I mean, please, if you can. It'd be easier than anything else, right?"

"I'm pretty sure you did," she commented, deliberately keeping her voice light on that. "I don't think you need an exam room, even, though I bet I'll hear 'bout that from the nurses after but whatever."

She had sterilizing wipes, it was a cut from shaving, Ino didn't want to use a room for that.

"Probably easiest if you just want to take a seat?"

Pick a chair, any chair.

Jennifer took a seat in a nearby chair. "I guess I kinda stopped worrying about this sort of thing when I got all green and nigh-invulnerable," she said, her lips twisting a bit. She really wished she was green right now.

Ino dug around in her desk for a few of the wipes and then knelt down by the bleeding leg.

"I did notice you weren't so green today," she said casually. "Can you move your hand, please?"

"Going home later today," Jennifer said. "The local sheriff still kind of wants the She-Hulk behind bars." She moved her hand and her expression hopefully didn't betray the fact that that fact rather bothered her.

What with the local sheriff being her dad and all.

"This'll sting a bit," she warned before quickly cleaning the cut--not that bad of one, but cuts did sometimes bleed for a good while--out. "And, yeah, I can see why that'd been you'd go back to being none-green."

Ino paused as she mentally poked at the terminology there.

"There another Hulk then, back home?"

Jennifer winced and sucked in a breath as Ino cleaned her little wound.

"Yeah," she said, nodding. "My cousin. Who sorta started this whole thing for me."

"How does your local sheriff take to that one?" Ino asked, tucking the used wipe back into it's package and setting it, for the moment on the floor. "Now this, this might tickle a bit, and my hand is goin' to glow green, okay? So don't startle or anything."

Because that was always a pain, when they moved. Ino was good enough by now that it didn't take her long to call up the right sort of chakra, formed with practised precision, so that her hand glowed softly. She put that hand over the cut, not quite touching skin.

"Well, dad doesn't know it's Bruce," Jennifer said. "And he's... more of a bigger scale fugitive."

She didn't realize her little fact slip, there. But she kept her leg still for Ino.

Zack wasn't injured or sick, no.

"Hiiii!"

It was something infinitely worse.

"I'm booored."

"Joooin the club," Ino said, sighing at him. "And it's going to be like this for more than a week. Almost two of them!"

The horrors!

"It's like, everyone is leaving for that... holiday... thing." Zack waved a hand kind of vaguely in the air, frowning thoughtfully. "I don't even understand what that holiday is about. And I still haven't seen any fat guy in red. You think he's finally had that heart attack?"

You know, most kids just stopped believing in Santa. Zack just mentally killed the guy off, instead.

Both of them had missed the memo on the radio that Santa wasn't real, yes.

"Maybe? Ooooh, maybe it's a conspiracy and they don't want anyone to know he's dead!" Oh, Ino. "And all I know is it's 'bout getting presents and givin' them and something 'bout someone being born?"

She chewed on her lip. "It's really quiet 'round here, during the holidays too. No chance for fun here."

"If it's about someone being born, they should just call it a birthday party and get it over with," Zack grumped, crossing his arms over his chest. "All this Feliz Navidoodah stuff is confusing."

No, the prospect of being bored for nearly two weeks did not sit well with him at all.

"I guess if I really wanted, I could head to Midgar for their tree-lighting festival thing. ShinRa brings this big tree in, and then puts lights on it so that the locals get to see something green for a little while."

And then it dies. Everything green kinda tended to do that, in Midgar.

She gave him wide sad eyes. "You'd leave me here to be lonely and bored all on my own?"

Ino was not above begging, no.

Zack was nothing if not a sucker for big sad girl eyes!

"Well, of course you could come, too! It'd be a pretty boring tree-lighting festival if I had to go to it all on my own," he pointed out. And then he grinned broadly. "I could probably go a few of these missions, too. The ones that have been piling up in my mail. There's some treasure hunting and stuff to be done."

It could be a totally productive holiday!

Ino beamed at him, then paused.

"Oh! We should stop by my place first?" she suggested. "And, also, that way my dad won't whine that I never come and visit."

"Well, who am I to stand between a girl and her father?" Zack chuckled a little at that.

He... wasn't going to be visiting his own folks any time soon, no.

"Okay, then! We've got the papers, there's no reason why we can't stop in Konoha first!" Right?

"My dad would make short work of you if you tried," she assured him, laughing. "Dad's a bit--well..."

Ino shrugged a bit.

"I think we've got a plan!" A very exciting plan! One that she was pretty sure Reno would be Unhappy About Oh Yes and Ino was going to go for it anyway. Besides, it was interesting! And fun! And useful! "And, totally, just a few days at my place--they won't let you go on missions there, there's too much of an issue with confidentiality and stuff you know, but we can totally do the working holiday on your world?"
