FTEC – Saturday [February 7]

Ino (lucky Ino) hadn’t noticed anything odd about today, and had tiredly made it out of her nice, warm bed and to the clinic. A shower had perked her up a little bit, and the hot chocolate she’d grabbed from the Perk even more.

Getting to the clinic she promptly curled up in the chair, and wondered if they’d let her use a blanket and take a nap. Even if that was completely unprofessional. But maybe...

For as many sandwiches as Luke made, it was a miracle he didn't cut himself more often. But this time he had, a nice neat slice through one thumb.

It wasn't that bad, but it was awkward because it was on his right hand. Someone handwavily suggested there was a clinic in town, and so that was where he found himself, napkin still pressed to his bleeding hand.

"Hi?" he asked the girl there. She looked about his age, and pretty; he smiled. "Is this where a guy can come to get stitched up?"

"Nothing, nothing," he said as he pulled the napkin away to reveal a cut that was bloody, but not especially severe. "A knife bit me. I can't bandage my right hand, so somebody told me to come here."

Luke looked confused. "No. Brower. Luke Brower. How do you even spell Monta-whatever?"

Julian had woken up today somewhere that was very definitely not DS-9. After a brief time (okay, not so brief, but who was going to tell on him here?), he found a building labeled "clinic" and walked inside.

"Hello," he said. "I'm Doctor Julian Bashir. Could you tell me where I am?"

"Not even a little bit," Julian replied with a smile. "What planet am I on? I'm fairly sure this isn't a holosuite program..."

"Earth? Really? What year?" he asked eagerly.

He wrinkled up his nose. "Early 21st Century? Why would I be here? Nothing interesting happens for a while."

"Bossy, bossy, bossy," Luke joked, but he hopped up. "Yeah, I don't know anybody with that name, sorry. Do you go to the school?"

"Freshman," Luke said, almost proudly. "So, uh, I guess I'll see you 'round."

"I don't really know my dad's side of the family," he offered, by which he meant he hadn't seen his father since he was two. "Maybe he's a cousin or something. Is he from New York?"

He obediently held his hand out, oblivious to the failing. "Maybe," Luke said. "Like, upstate."
