FTEC Tuesday December 23

Harley was feeling a little down. At this time of year, she and Mr. J would usually be wrapping empty presents for delivery to the orphanage, or baking cyanide pies for the old folks' home. It was only out of a very strong force of will that Harley could remind herself that these were bad activities, the type that she wasn't supposed to want to do anymore.

But what's Christmas without traditions?

Mina entered the clinic for the sole reason of meeting more of the clinic staff. She approached Dr. Quinzel and gave a courteous nod.

"Excuse me," she greeted. "I am Mrs. Wilhelmina Harker, I have recently begun working here. May I have the pleasure of your acquaintance?"

An interesting greeting, that caused Mina to raise an eyebrow. "That did not quite answer my inquiry."

Mina found this rather unusual. By far the most... casual she'd been addressed. Though rather than fuss a great deal, she decided to justify this all as they were work colleagues. As well as the fact that Harley was apparently a doctor, which did demand some respect.

"A doctor?" Mina said. "That is a very high achievement. What is your specialty?"

"I see," Mina said. "I am sure such studies have advanced greatly in the past hundred years."
