FTEC – Saturday [October 25]
It was a very sleepy Ino that wandered into the clinic for her day shift and clinging to an extra-large hot chocolate for dear life. Sure, she could’ve gotten coffee, but hot chocolate tasted better, come on.
And, eventually, it would wake her up enough that she could study.
...and eye the door dubiously. Dad had said he’d be visiting her, after all. She could only hope that there wouldn’t be any actual injuries that needed to be tended to. It was going to be a long day. Seriously.

Day Shift - Front Desk
Re: Day Shift - Front Desk
"Why, hello, there, little lady!" he remarked, as if surprised to see her there. "How are you?"
It should be noted that Kurosaki Isshin was not noted for his ability to appear nonchalant.
Ever.
Re: Day Shift - Front Desk
Ino had watched the approach, and subsequent greeting rather dubiously. "Um, good?" she said, cheerfully enough. "Can I help you at all?"
He didn't look hurt, after all.
Re: Day Shift - Front Desk
Isshin also failed at subtle transitions. "You look kind of familiar!"
Re: Day Shift - Front Desk
...oh dear.
"I could give you a tour, I guess?" A beat. "Of the clinic."

His dad was that bad.
"Were you spying on him?" she asked, thinking right after she said it that maybe she should have played dumb, "Kurosaki-san."

...
"Excuse me?" He hadn't, he had, what was wrong with him? "I don't think that's right to be asking strangers."
You utterly crazy man.

Again, with the poor, poor sniffing. If only his little Yuzu were here to tend to his broken soul.

"He is," Ino said, then frowned again, "but I'm thinking that I'll side with him in that you deserve them. Asking a stranger 'bout that! What if I'd been the wrong girl?"
Re: Day Shift - Front Desk
He was much better at not smirking than he was anything else so far.

Who kissed sometimes.

His hand met his forehead in a gesture of distress.
"I'll never be a grandfather!"

Mostly.

His eyes narrowed slightly, and then, suddenly, he was back to his wild gesticulating.
"Just remember! These are the prime years of your youth! You will never be this young and precocious again! It should not go to waste!"
