FTEC – Saturday [September 27]

Ino couldn't help but to sigh happily upon finding that the clinic was blissfully empty and that there was a reasonable chance that she wouldn't have to worry about anyone injured today.

It was a good day. It didn't mean she was going to slack off though, so after about fifteen minutes of just cheerful bubbling at the nurses and asking them about their week she settled down at the desk and focused on her studying.

Where Ino is studying and humming under her breath as she does so. What? It helps her focus!

Ino will be grumpy if you ruin her day by winding up here.

With the nurses, but sans their bubbly blonde helper.

Mmf.

Ichigo wasn't injured. He'd gotten through the rest of the weekend without getting into trouble. It almost seemed like a miracle. Still, he entered the clinic. Not to talk to Ino either. Nope. They had a bet and he wasn't going to break it.

He just happened to be there. Yep, that was it. Just... passing through. No talking involved.

Ino's head snapped up at the sound of the door, opening her mouth to speak and ask what was wrong when she saw him and her mouth shut abruptly.

She levelled a long look at him. Was there something he wanted?

She wasn't planning on breaking the bet either.

Why would he want anything really? He stuffed his hands in his pocket and moved up to where she was sitting, raising an eyebrow in question.

This was lame. Did he know that? Was he trying to be a pain?

...knowing Ichigo, he probably was.

She tapped her notebook and twirled her pen around to indicate the clinic. She was studying and working. It was efficient.

He was bored, he was just looking for entertainment and being a pain was entertainment. Or maybe just a small part of him missed his father's clinic... Probably not.

He shrugged a shoulder, indicating that he didn't much care that she was working and he wouldn't interrupt that. Then he reached out to snag the notebook, because that he could interrupt.

Hey, hey, hey! That was her notebook!

She wasn't going to lunge over the desk for it, no that'd be silly.

She was, however, going to glare at him a lot and signal that if he didn't give it back he was a dead man.

Ichigo promptly ignored and kind of signalling as he leafed through the notebook, trying to make sense of Ino's medical notes. He 'hrmmmmmmed' at a certain passage, shook his head and turned the page.

Understanding would probably be easier if you got the principles of chakra, really.

She flung a pencil at him.

He mouthed an 'ow' and leaned down to pick the pencil from the ground. Still shaking his head at her, he turned to a blank page and started writing.

The subject is showing signs of a violent nature: attacking people who come to visit her and throwing sharpened objects at them.

Okay, okay, he was writing in her notebook and she wanted to see what he was writing about (because no doubt he was writing something stupid) and wanted it back and if it wasn't for the whole, you know, paper and water not mixing very well, she'd have thrown her her water at him.

Ino settled for lunging at him for the notebook.

There was the hint of a smirk as Ichigo jumped back, dancing out of her way and holding the notebook up out of her reach.

Oh, come on!

She darted after him because, seriously, totally not on and made a grab for the book.

He jumped back again, this time hitting the wall and dammit. Looked like he was going to have to try to push her back.

She was just going to kick at his feet for that and make a jump for her notebook.

Hmph.

His arm was still up high, but she hit her target and Ichigo winced. He glared at her and tried to thwap her with the notebook. There.

Ow, that was her head! Stop that!

But it meant that her notebook was in reach and Ino tried to snag it from him and back away.

It was her head! That was the point. He glared at her as she got the notebook back, but then shrugged as if he didn't care she got it back in the first place. Leaving her to the notebook, he went to sit in the chair she'd been sitting in.

Ino made sure to try and cuff him on the back of the head as she walked back to the desk and sat down.

And stuck her tongue out at him when she read what he'd wrote.

Seriously?

He shrugged and twirled the pencil between his fingers. What did she expect? A declaration of love?

A declaration of love would have seriously disturbed her.

She took an eraser and started getting rid of the note, pretending he wasn't even in the room.

Fine. Whichever. He put his feet on the desk and tried to balance the pencil on his nose.
