FTEC, Friday

When Ronan came in for his shift Friday morning, he was rather surprised to see a patient -- it happened so rarely (outside of the larger invasions, of course), that he wasn't much used to it.

[OOC: I've got some errands to run before work, and then, well, work until at least 9PM Eastern, probably more like 10 or so. SP is love!]

Front Desk

Aside from when he had to duck out for class (or checking out on Lee's arms), Ronan was sitting at the front desk, reading a book while waiting to see if anyone else came into the clinic.

"Doctor?" Toby had no idea what to call the people in the clinic, but he thought doctor was like, the obvious choice. "Thank you so much for taking care of Lee."

"I'm not a doctor," Ronan said, smiling, "just a student assistant. And it's not a problem at all, it's what I'm here for. Toby, right?" he added. "We have a class together, I think. Summer Fitness?"

"Oh, right," Toby smiled with recognition. "I knew I recognized you from somewhere. I thought maybe you were in my new cabin or something."

Exam Room One - Lee Adama

First thing Ronan did when he got to the clinic was to come in and check on Lee. Not wanting to wake him if he were sleeping, Ronan stepped in quietly, closing the door carefully behind him.

Lee was mostly awake. The effects of the green drink had worn off enough that he was feeling things now and keeping his eyes closed staved off the bright lights of the room.

Maybe the nurses would stop waking him up.

A little while into the morning, a green woman appeared in the room with little to no concern for just how awake Lee might've been prior to her entering. "So. We're going to have to have the 'idiot' talk again, Adama."

He didn't answer because maybe she'd think he was really asleep. Don't wake the sleepy, right?

"Too bad." She strolled to his bedside. "Were you looking to get your ass kicked, or did you find it just happened on the fly?"

Something -- a trick of breath, a subtle movement -- tipped Ronan off that Lee was awake. "Hey," he said, softly. "How're you feeling?"

That wasn't a voice he knew would yell at him so he opened his eyes and said, "Dumb. But, you know, I'll live."

Ronan couldn't help but laugh at that. "We don't have a cure for that, unfortunately," he said, running a diagnostic spell through his head to check for anything majorly wrong, "but if there's any pain or anything, I can help with that. Everything looks to be healing up pretty well, though."

"Guy last night gave me a green drink," Lee said, focusing more on Ronan. "Always willing for some help with the pain though. As for the dumbness, it's inherited."

Toby was so worried about Lee that he rushed into the clinic the second he had the chance. "Oh my god, Lee! Are you okay?" He whispered the words as he sat gingerly next to Lee's bed.

"Calm down," Lee said, eyes as wide as he could manage. "I'm...do I look bad?"

"No! Just beaten," Toby said, eyebrows furrowed. At least he wasn't crying. "What happened? Do I need to get a posse?"

Evening Shift

In the evening, the nurses were around for anyone who might need any medical attention.

And Lee was planning on busting out of this place tonight.

With a promise to take it easy, painkillers in his hand, Lee did did just that, walking out of the clinic slowly.
