FTEC -- August 02 -- Saturday.

There was that feeling in the air as Adah walked to the clinic very early that morning for her day shift, the feeling that, if she believed in Dog, she would pray to him right now for a nice, quiet shift, but wouldn't be in the least bit surprised if she didn't get that nice, quiet shift. She hated mornings like that and, as she settled in behind the desk, was thinking that those were probably among the only occasions she would actually want to be right.

For now, hopefully linear dsDNA genomes theories could help stave off the unsettled feeling.

"Excuse me," Juli asked very seriously, peeking over the desk. "Are my Mother and Father working here?"

It was not that she minded nothing having seen them so much, but it was a bit out of the ordinary that there was no note. Perhaps they were just busy?

"Dr. Ami Niwashiro, and Dr. Kenta Niwashiro," Juli said, offering the lady a smile. "They're doctors."

Just in case the lady had missed that fact.

"Oh." Juli considered this. "Can you take a message in case they come by then?"

Juli looked slightly put out at that. Her parents were no one's patients.

"They normally leave me a note," she said. "Or someone who knows. It's very odd that they didn't. Can you tell them that Juli was looking for them, if they do come in? And which way to the station, please?"

Wolverine ran into the clinic. "Did a kangaroo come in here? He might have been looking for steroids. Dumb thing just keeps on jumping. No way he's kept going this long without something."

"Okay, thanks, lady," Wolverine said. "If you see him, could you yell for me? I have good ears, so I'll hear it."

"You can call me Wolverine, bub," Wolverine said.

After his interesting morning at the Perk, Lee found his way to the clinic. He almost thought to get down on his knees and walk in like that just to see if she'd think he was tiny.

He refrained though. He liked his life.

"Having fun?" Lee asked as he came in the door.

"Gotten visits from the kids?" Lee asked, leaning against the counter. "They're cute, aren't they?"

He laughed and wrinkled his nose right back at her. "I met Professor Kerrigan's tiny self."

...yeah, we've got a week at the parent's basement because we're homeless until we close on the house and THEN a vacation with the family before we can move in and...

...it's going to be a looooong two weeks.

*symphatizes with the packing, too, good lord* Packing is evil; not so bad with a vacation, but I hate all packing now. *nods*
