FTEC, Saturday, January 12 -- Day Shift.

There were so many things to explore and do that she normally wouldn't be able to do, thinks like microscopes and petri dishes calling to her, but Adah was actually doing as she should, being a respectable worker, and reviewing a whole boatload of materials regarding basic medical procedures and common ailments. It was stuff she basically already knew, but could probably stand to know a little better, and, besides, this, unlike the library, was important. She didn't care about the library, so she could waste time by putting books in the wrong spots and spending significant amount of an hour kissing people. This was important, though; this could be everything. She couldn't screw this up.

Although it was kind of annoying how these Dog-awful cramps and the persistent nagging desire for chocolate kept distracting her from her reading.
