FTEC, Tuesday, December 4 - Evening Shift

The clinic was open, and Wyatt was behind the front desk, surfing the web. He had a checklist of holiday present ideas for Chris, Grandpa Victor, Piper (with a second mention of Piper and a question mark), Phoebe, and Prue. And one other name that had a lot of potential ideas written under it.

Lana came into the clinic hesitantly, carrying a covered container. "Wyatt?"

Wyatt looked up from his laptop. "Hey, Lana," he said. "You feeling OK?"

"Oh, I'm fine," she said quickly. "I just... I brought you some cookies. To thank you for, you know. I, um, hope you like chocolate chip." She set them down on the counter.

"Love 'em," Wyatt said. "You didn't have to do that."

"I know," she said. "I just... well, I know we haven't always gotten along and... Anyway, I appreciate everything you did. Not just for me, but for everyone."

"You're welcome," Wyatt said. "I just wish I could've done more . . . and sooner."

"You did a lot," she said firmly. "Exhausted yourself, from what I heard. No one could have expected any more from you. Anyway, I didn't want to bother you, just wanted to drop those off."

"It's not a bother," Wyatt said. "And thank you."

"You're welcome," she said with a smile. "Well, I guess I'll... see you around." She waved and headed out again.
