One of the nurses was watching over the clinic today, with Dr. Troy's pager number handy in case anyone came in with serious injuries or there was any change in the poor girl's condition in exam one.

There is a bit more of a rasp to Adah's breathing, perhaps on the part of an increased effort, and, slowly, on occation, she'll blink her eyes, though what they saw was still failing to process.

Having heard from Mary exactly what had just happened on the island, River guessed where Adah could be found. She stopped by the clinic to test this theory, silently watching Adah's face, reaching out to let her fingertips brush against Adah's hand for a second.

But she heard nothing and it felt too lonely. "I've missed you," she whispered, then turned around and left the room.
