FTEC - Wednesday DayShift 5/23

It had been a long night at the clinic.

Rather than bother trying to go home, Wilson had stayed on through the night, helping the nurse wake Lana hourly and also keeping Phoebe and Anders as comfortable as possible.

Jim and Bel had been discreetly watched over as well.

Aziraphale, bless him, had come down with a late night/early morning snack of grilled cheese sandwiches and later with omlettes and coffee but other than a quick break to grab a shower, Wilson had stayed put.

Morning found him ~~napping~~ relaxing in the front desk chair.

Nekkid DC plus pie would only overwhelm the servers and crash the internets.

Well, no, as it happened Anders hadn't yet tried to make a break for Phoebe's room, though he'd been considering it pretty strongly. Or, well, as strongly as he could when he was mostly drifting in and out of wakefulness; in between the emotional ups-and-downs of last night's attack, the blood loss, and the painkillers, he'd been too tired and groggy to try and make a break for it.

Not to mention the IV sort of had him tethered.

He'd gotten a little tired of sleeping on his stomach, so every now and then he'd roll onto his side until that started to irritate the stitches in his back.

Bel, however, had been running himself ragged going constantly between the rooms, and so he had wheeled Phoebe's bed into Anders's room. That way he could be with them both.

Bel was there as well. He'd brought Phoebe's bed into the next room so he could sit between them. It left things a little cramped but he didn't care. Currently he was slumped in a chair, awake but exhausted.

Chris showed up bright and early to find out if his aunt was okay.

As with Anders' room, there was also a small bouquet of flowers in a teacup (http://www.fromyouflowers.com/images/products/large/TF190-1.jpg) sitting on Phoebe's bedside table. No note, but the source was probably obvious.

Wilson, who had heard the sound of bed moving (http://community.livejournal.com/fandom_clinic/332128.html?thread=8278880#t8278880) peeked open an eye and smiled at Chris.

"Can I help you?"

"Dr. Wilson, right?" Chris asked. "I'm Chris Halliwell, Phoebe's nephew. We met when we went to rescue Bel. I heard on the radio that Phoebe was here. Is she okay? What happened?"

Reaching up to rub at his eyes, Wilson sat up and gave Chris a tired smile.

"Oh, hey there Chris. I'm sorry, long night. Phoebe's here, yes. She's doing all right. She's back in exam thre...err...two actually, with Bel and Anders."

Leaning his arm across the desk, he gave Chris a rueful look.

"I'm afraid I don't know much about the particulars. It seems they were attacked out in the woods, someone with bladed weapons, give the cuts and stab wounds they all received but that was all I was able to get from Bel last night."

He'd been more focused on stitching folks up to ask more questions than that.

Wilson might recognize the look that flashed on Chris's face as the Halliwell Determined Look^tm. "Thanks," he said. "Is it okay if I go back and check on her?"

Chad had slept pretty well through the night...and for most of the afternoon, too...which was actually pretty normal for him. Since the Best Roomie Ever

Chris would probably come to recognize that expression on Wilson's face as his inner facepalm as responding to the Halliwell Determined Look(tm!).

"By all means, I imagine she'd enjoy a visitor," he said with a smile. "Second door down the hallway."

After this week? Wilson was totally going to talk to Christain about a security system on the windows.

Lana had slept restlessly, between the being woken up every hour and the pain. It had also brought back flashbacks of her time held captive and tortured on the alien ship, whihc resulted in some truly terrifying nightmares.

Lana's bedside table also had sprouted a small bouquet of flowers in a teacup (http://www.usaflorist.com/large/TF-BIRD.jpg). As with the others, there was no note. But the teacup was probably a dead giveaway.

...Well, it was kind of a small window, but it would do as Chad grunted from pain while ~~oh-so-canonically~~ climbing out of it. And then another grunt as his foot caught on the sill and he hit the ground. Okay, time to sit there for a bit to catch his breath and remind himself that that wasn't pain, really, he was good.

Might be stopping by Turtle & Canary for some Tylenol, though...oof.

Anders, or anyone coming into his room, might have noticed a small bouquet of flowers in a teacup (http://www.phoebefloral.com/images/teacup2060701105839.jpg) sitting on the bedside table.

Yes, it was kind of girly-looking. Considering the source, though, is that a surprise?

Dale entered the clinic and headed to the front desk. His usual chipper demeanor replaced with the serious game face he wears when trouble is about.

"Good morning," he said approaching Wilson and showing identification. "Dale Cooper, Fandom Police department. May I speak to the doctor in charge, please?"
