Annette walked in before gun club and said without preamble, "Something's wrong with me."

Christian looked up from his papers and eyed Annette. "What is it now?" he said, an amused smile on his face.

She shrugged a shoulder. "I just don't feel good. I think I need my blood pressure checked or something. Maybe my temperature too."

"I think I can check you out," Christian said. "Come with me (http://community.livejournal.com/fandom_clinic/302692.html?thread=7834980#t7834980)."

Christian led Annette into the exam room and indicated for her to sit up on the exam table. "So, tell me what your symptoms are," he said, pulling the blood pressure cuff and a thermometer from the drawers.

She dutifully settled herself up on the exam table, folding her hands in her lap.

"My chest hurts. I think my heart beat too fast this morning. I feel weak. I might need an IV of glycerin water. What if I'm diabetic? I might even have cancer. My stomach hurts too."

"Quite a step up from appendicitis," Christian said, raising an eyebrow. "Let me take your check your vitals." He then proceeded to check her blood pressure, heart rate, breathing, and temperature.

[ooc: Have to go AFK for about 15 minutes but I will be back! Anything wrong with her?]

She nodded feebly and slouched her shoulders, sighing softly, "I know it. I'm just...ill." Annette watched him while he did the routine exam room procedures on her.

"Is it my heart, Christian?"

(*g* nope, nothing whatsoever!)

"Your heart seems to be beating just fine," Christian said, pressing the stethoscope against her chest, then her back. "Did you exert yourself this morning at all? Anything scare you?"

Annette really didn't want him thinking she sounded crazy, so she did not tell him about her socks attacking her.

"No." She answered, looking him in the eyes. "Are you sure your stethescope is working right? Can you hear good through my blouse?" She blinked innocently.

Christian had to grin at that. "You could take off your blouse and I could try again," he said.

She twisted her lips a little. Christian was a doctor. Most likely he saw countless shirtless girls.

And her heart was beating fast, he would be able to hear that well enough.

"Okay. Cause I think it's important to get the best possible angle on something, right?"

Her fingers started at the top and slowly worked down, undoing the small pink buttons.

"I like the hands on approach myself," Christian said, watching Annette remove her blouse.

"Hands on approach is good. Especially in your line of work." Her blouse parted and she slipped it off her shoulders, letting it pool down around her on the table.

Annette was blushing but it hardly mattered now.

"I don't know what is wrong with me. I just...suddenly started not feeling well."

"Could be stress," Christian observed, pressing the stethoscope against Annette's chest again. Funny, his fingers seemed to be doing some pressing as well. "You might just need to relax."

She nodded and took a deep breath, exhaling slowly. Annette was staring at his mouth and was very conscious of how warm his fingers were.

"My boyfriend has been sleeping with me. I'm not sure there is any stress involved in that though."

"Boyfriend, huh," Christian said. "You two been practicing safe sex? Any chance you could be pregnant?"

Eyes wide, she blurted out, "He's not even touched me! No. No." Umm... "I don't think Dick does that with girls."

"He must be gay then," Christian said. "No other reason a man would keep his hands off you."

She gave him a look of surprise, "I've never considered that." Although she was having trouble wrapping her mind around it. "But I'm his girlfriend."

Ooh, Christian's words finally penetrated. "So if you had a girlfriend, you would, uh, be touching her?"

"You're his beard, sweetheart," Christian said. "And yes, when I have a girlfriend, I do a whole lot of touching."

What if that was true? Oh. No wonder Dick hasn't tried to touch her yet.

"Do you tease with touching?" She needed to know these things. "My ribs hurt too. Maybe I cracked one."

"I've been called a lot of things, but rarely tease," Christian said. He moved his hands to Annette's sides and began gently feeling his way over her skin. Checking her ribs, of course. "Tell me if it hurts when I touch you," he said.

"So...teasing is not good." She said softly, barely breathing, though her chest seemed to rise and fall more arduously. "Maybe it's a little tender."

Glancing down, she watched his hands skim over her gently.

"Your heart does seem to be beating a little fast," Christian murmured, leaning in closer.
