FTEC - Wednesday Day Shift 3/7
Wilson grumbled as he made his way through the rainy weather down to the clinic. Why couldn't it be snow? Honestly, if this much moisture was going to fall from the sky, it ought to be a proper snow.
Shaking himself off, he talked quietly with the on duty nurse, catching up on the two patients still in residence, as he shrugged out of his overcoat and set his briefcase down behind the front desk. Taking the charts, he checked in on Ami and Liz, making detailed notes for their files before quietly slipping back out of the rooms.
Once back at the front desk, he pulled out his laptop and a couple of journals and settled down to work on yet another paper.

Re: Exam One
He was still keeping his distance, not touching Bel yet.

Re: Exam One
"Let's start with doing a new blood work-up for you. See what's going internally."
Okay, this meant he was going to have to touch Bel...hell, touch Bel and draw blood, which meant not allowing his hands to tremble too badly.
Taking a deep breath, Wilson stalled for just a bit more time as he motioned for Bel to roll up his sleeve but then, time ran out and he had to do this. Swallowing tightly, Wilson shoved down the surge of bile in his throat and reached out to wrapp the rubber band around Bel's upper arm. Working steadily, focusing only on the young man's arm, the oncologist tried to force himself into a zone, where Bel was just another patient.
Just another patient.
Just another patient.
Just another patient...andwhythehelldidtheneedlejustmeltaway???
"Um..." Wilson began, drawing back the now needle-less little yellow cup. "There was a needle there...I know, there was a needle there...I saw it, it pushed into your..."
He was about to say arm but upon looking back down at the flesh, it looked completely untouched.

not!dirtyand shook his head. It didn't feel as if the needle had broken off."Did you feel any sensation when I inserted the needle, Bel?"
Re: Exam One
Re: Exam One
"That's...what's wrong." He said in a bewildered tone. "Phoebe, have you noticed anything...different about Bel?"
Re: Exam One
Re: Exam One
You know, to something that didn't cast disparagements on Bel's endownments pre Wastelands.

"I can tell you all about his endowments and what they can make your Siblet feel like if you prefer..."Re: Exam One
Think the bond will take care of that soon enough.Wilson looked back at Phoebe with a perfectly innocent, boyish expression.
"Right... I knew that."
Uh huh.
Looking back towards Bel, Wilson shook his head and reached for another syringe.
"Let's give this one more attempt."
One more attempt...with the exact same result.
"O-kay." Wilson said, setting the now needleless cap down on the tray and putting his hands on his hips.
"Huh...have either of you ever heard of anything like this before? Either demonic or magical in nature?"
Re: Exam One
aliensdemons who can do that."He squirmed a little uncomfortably on the table, frowning. "I feel stiff all of a sudden," he said.
Re: Exam One
"Come again?"
Re: Exam One
Re: Exam One
"Um, Phoebe...perhaps you out to leave the room. I need to get normal stats from him, not...um ones that are affected by...excitement."

He paused, blinking. "Wait, it's gone now."

All was quiet for a few minutes after which Wilson's frown grew deeper.
"Pulse and respiration are normal. Let me check your blood pressure."
When that checked out normal, Wilson stepped back idly twirling the stethescope in his fingers.
"Is this the first time something like this has happened, since you got back?"

Re: Exam One
"Well...I'm a bit stumped. I can't draw blood on you to test against anything we have on file but...you said that you picked up powers, in the Wasteland? Could this be a risdual affect of that?"
