After making a check on the patients in the clinic, Christian started flipping through a boating magazine, thinking about finally replacing The Boatox.

Rose sighed, "How long does an unconcious patient before it becomes you red flag?"

"We're already taking it seriously," Christian said. "We're going to have to insert a feeding tube and catheter. Her vitals seem all right, but she'll need nutrition. We've ordered equipment to run some more tests to determine the cause of the coma."

Christian nodded gravely. "Talk to her, she might hear your voice. These things are tough to call. She might wake up tomorrow, or it might be two weeks."

"I'll do that," she looked to the exam rooms, "and if lasts more than two weeks?"

"We'll probably have to send her off island then," Christian said. "The clinic isn't equipped to handle the care a long-term coma patient needs."

"I hope to God she wakes soon," she nodded at him, "I'll go and check on her now, yeah?"

Christian nodded, waving Rose down the hall. "Hopefully she will."
