FTEC, Monday Morning

Elliot was hoping for another quiet day as she rushed from the airport to open the clinic. She could use some time to think over her fellowship interviews and write the 43 thank you notes she was pretty sure she owed.

She checked the exam rooms and saw the dream of a quiet day was not to be. Well, at least she wouldn't be bored. "Alien abduction victims," she muttered. "Wonder if we'll get Elvis next week."

Ami was definitely unconscious. In a coma sort of unconscious. Also, bruised and cut up and all sorts of other things you get when you have been abducted by aliens. Twice.

Liz had drifted in and out of consciousness throughout the night and it wasn't until the early hours of the morning that she had finally fallen into a deep, dreamless sleep.

At present she was asleep even though she was starting to show signs that she was close to being awake.

Setsuna stopped into the clinic, giving the doctor a nod. "I'd like to see Ami Mizuno, if I could, please."

Before Annette headed to class, she wanted to check on Ami. Smiling at the doctor, she asked, "I'm a friend of Ami's, can I see her please?"

"Hey. I'm here to see your prisoners?" John absently rubbed one shin against the other. Stupid bleedy alien-infected wound. "Ami? And anyone else who came in last night."

After Conflict Management, Tori stopped into the clinic. "Hi. I was wondering if I could see Ami? I'm a friend of hers and I wanted to see how she was doing."

"Hi Setsuna," Elliot said. "She is in exam two. I don't think she's awake just yet, but you can check."

"Sure, but I'm not sure if she'll see you," Ellioty said, then rapidly retreated. "Er, that was coma humor. In really, really bad taste. She's in exam two."

Elliot bristled at the word "prisoners." "Ami's in two. I don't think she's awake yet," she said. "The other patient who we are trying to heal here is Liz Sherman, in Exam Three. She should be awake soon."

She noticed his little bleedy-shin dance. "Are your legs okay?"

Setsuna nodded, with a slight bow, before heading to find the room. "Thank you, Doctor Reid."

"She's still resting," Elliot said. "But you can go back and check on her, if you want. Exam two."

"Not a problem," Elliot said, waving to Nurse NPC to show Setsuna the way. "I hope your friend wakes up soon."

Setsuna came in to see Ami, grateful to have the warning from Doctor Reid that she wasn't up yet, and sunk worriedly into a chair as she looked over her. She frowned at all the bruises and scars and how still Ami was. //"I'm sorry, Ami-chan,"// she said quietly, not even caring if she could hear her or not. //"I'm sorry that this happened to you, that I could not protect you better..."//

She wasn't going to cry. Really. Her...contacts were just bothering her, honest.

Annette blinked, not sure whether to laugh or not. If she laughed then that would be like laughing at Ami, right? Yeah, so...but, it was funny. Oh, and Ami was in a coma? Wha?

"Uh, I didn't know. I will just peek in on her then, if you don't mind. I won't disturb her at all. Thanks, doctor."

Tori nodded, giving her a small smile. "Thank you. Uh... was there anyone else that came in last night?"

Annette peeked around the door that opened into Ami's room and she was shocked into a silent gasp at what she saw.

Walking slowly over to the bed, her eyes began to water with unshed tears at the condition Ami was in. "Oh...Ami." She whispered shakily. Carefully, so as not to hurt her or disturb her, she lightly lifted her hand to hold for a moment.

"Not a problem," Elliot said, waving the girl back. "She should wake up soon, we hope."

"Liz Sherman," Elliot said. "And it looks like Bridge Carson was discharged."

"Liz, right." Tori nodded and then frowned. Bridge was here? She wondered what had happened. Tori made a mental note to visit Bridge later. "Thank you."

"No problem at all," Elliot said. "Ring the bell in the exam room if you need me."

Tori found Ami's room with ease and sighed before going in.

She wasn't prepared for what she saw. "Oh God, Ami." Tori couldn't believe the condition her friend was in. She held in her tears and decided to sit with Ami for a while. She knew Ami wasn't going to be waking up anytime soon, but that didn't mean she couldn't hear someone if they spoke to her.

Tori took a seat and gently took Ami's hand in hers. "Hey Ami, I don't know if you can hear me, but I just wanted to say I'm sorry for everything you had to go through. It's over now, thankfully. We won." She hoped Ami could hear her. Tori wanted her to know that she was safe and nothing like that was going to happen to her again.
