FTEC - Wednesday Dayshift - 1/10

It was the first time Wilson had been back to the clinic since he'd gotten sprung on Friday. He really should come back and get a check up, even with Phale's healing ability and the young doctor figured he might try to catch Troy, Janet, Natalie or Trevor for a follow-up.

In the meantime, he had an escort in the form of a very attentive lover, who walked with him to the Perk for coffee and then down to the clinic. Aziraphale had a group of books, fairy tales that he was rereading or maybe making notes for class OMGmodded!! but regardless, he had tea, he had books and he settled down into a comfortable chair to read while Wilson worked on his own class work.

The scent of coffee soon filled the front office as the pot brewed in the corner, soft insturmental jazz playing on the radio as the two men worked in companionable quiet.

[ooc: Aziraphale modded with permission. Clinic is open, like an open thing that is open.]

Janet had only torn her dorm room apart half a dozen times looking for her favorite penlight. (If you were a doctor, you might have a favorite penlight too. Janet liked the one with the brightest light. Everyone flinched at that one.) She thought she might have left it at the clinic on Monday night, so she was stopping by to rifle through the front desk.

Janet straightened and grinned at Wilson. "No, that's okay. I lost my penlight, and I think I may have left it hear on Monday night. It's not in my room, that's for sure." She studied him briefly. "You look better. Good."

"Aha!" Janet spied a glint on the floor and darted down to pick up her penlight. She stood, grinning triumphantly. "Got it. So. You haven't had your follow-up yet?"

"Doctors really do make the worst patients," said Janet, trying not to roll her eyes. "You want to get it over with now, since you're here anyway?"

"Hooray," said Janet, with a slight grin. She flipped on the penlight and flashed it in his eyes, checking pupil dilation.

OOC: You realize that I have NO CLUE what Janet's doing here, right? *googles*

"Of course they do," said Janet, frowning. "They're stitches. They're supposed to itch while they heal. No headaches, dizziness, blurred vision, periods of black-outs?"

Janet nodded distractedly and reached in her backpack for her stethoscope. Because, of course, most high school students had their own personal stethoscopes. "Uh-huh," she said, listening to Wilson's lungs. "Phale brought you in during my shift. I had to read him the riot act to get him out of the way. Breathe in as deeply as possible."

Janet raised one eyebrow and gave Wilson a curious look. "Your right lung seems to be clear, but the breath sound on your left lung is still a bit off," she said. "I figured he was a little to focused on you to notice anything about me."

"I'd appreciate it if you didn't talk to Dr. Troy about my compensation," said Janet. She shrugged. "I don't need the money; my scholarship to Fandom includes a stipend."

She was starting to get an awfully bad feeling about this.

Lana stopped by before her class. "Hi," she said, ducking her head a little. "I, well, I haven't what with one thing and the other, stopped by to get my B vitamin shot in a few weeks, so I thought, maybe I should come in and see if you wanted me to keep up with them or not."

"I, yes. Well..." Lana hedged a little. "I think they have, but I also wasn't as stressed the weeks I was taking them. I've done pretty well. Overall."

Lana nodded. "Sounds good," she said. "Anything that keeps Jim from worrying so much about me."

Aziraphale was absolutely not hovering. He was sitting in the corner being unobtrusive and reading, and only looking up to check on Wilson every four or five minutes.

Granted, he did fuss a bit over making sure that the young doctor had been dressed warmly enough, and that he had something hot to drink when they arrived, and that his chair was comfortable. Also, he may have asked once or twice at least whether or not the other man needed anything.

But he was totally not hovering.

"Can I get you some tea, James love?" Aziraphale asked, having resisted the urge to ask that question countless times, until he couldn't hold it in any longer. "Or some lunch? Is it too early for that?"

Or a blanket, or a book, or a pair of slippers....

With a bright smile, possibly partly fed by relief at being able to do something, Aziraphale rose quickly from his chair and headed for the coffee maker. He'd actually brought along a thermos, and so only borrowed one of the clinics mugs to set the young doctor up with a nice cup of strong hot tea. And then one for himself, as well.

"Here you are, love," he said, placing the mug on the desk. "How are you feeling?"
