FTEC, Sunday Morning, December 3

Trevor really didn't want to leave the safety of his apartment in the morning. He'd made the mistake of looking out his window and watching some of the trolls in action the night before, and the idea of going out into town and coming across more of those creatures made him more than a little nervous. But, he knew there had to be people in need of medical assistance, and he figured that if he headed out in the early morning, the streets might be quiet.

He was glad to see that there were fewer overnight patients in the clinic than he'd expected, and he made sure to look over all of the previous day's notes before checking each exam room, and double-checking on the supplies. He didn't want to run out if more people came by.

[ocd is up!]

"Yeah, me too," Jude frowned. He looked at his casted leg up in traction and gave an exploratory tug, seeing if he could free himself.

Chad arched an eyebrow at the tug, thinking that maybe might not be the best idea, but Jude seemed a veteran at stuff like this, so he wouldn't question it. "I'll go find some breakfast and sneak it in?" he offered. Even if they would allow it, sneaking was more fun.

"Sounds like a plan - ow, ow, ow . . ." Jude hissed in pain, squeezing his eyes shut as he stopped moving. "Not cool . . ."

Chad gave a small, sympathetic wince. "You, with the not moving," Chad said, pointing a thumb at him lightly as he stood. "Me, with the getting of food. What'cha in the mood for?"

Jude's stomach growled. "Food sounds good," he chuckled despite the pain still in his eyes.

"Edible, got it," Chad said, moving toward the door. He paused there, shaking his head at Jude. "Damn, you're picky."

Jude shrugged, ducking his head to hide the smile he couldn't help. "I know. It's a curse."

Chad returned about forty five minutes later, which was actually sooner than he expected once he stepped and remembered again that the whole reason they were there was because of what-the-fuck trolls. That also made it difficult to get anything, considering that everything was being invaded by what-the-fuck trolls. Thankfully, most of the trolls seemed a little too into their happy town smashing fun to notice him. And, if they did, he got a fight out of it. Sweet.

He presented Jude with some of the spoils from his dorm room reserves: some granola bars, a bunch of Twinkies, and two warm Mexican sodas. "Breakfast of champions," he announced.

"Twinkies. Sweeeeeeet." Jude inhaled a package with the ease of practise of a teenage boy, his eyes sliding half-shut as the sugar hit him like a caffeine jolt to an addict. "Thanks, bro."
