FTEC, Sunday Morning, December 3

Trevor really didn't want to leave the safety of his apartment in the morning. He'd made the mistake of looking out his window and watching some of the trolls in action the night before, and the idea of going out into town and coming across more of those creatures made him more than a little nervous. But, he knew there had to be people in need of medical assistance, and he figured that if he headed out in the early morning, the streets might be quiet.

He was glad to see that there were fewer overnight patients in the clinic than he'd expected, and he made sure to look over all of the previous day's notes before checking each exam room, and double-checking on the supplies. He didn't want to run out if more people came by.

"You seemed so eager," the Doctor said. "I wasn't about to object." He steadied himself and gave Jane a still somewhat bloody smile. "Thank you."

The Doctor took a deep breath and dabbed at his forehead with a finger.

"Pity they didn't want to go away peacefully," he said.

"Oh, it's not that bad," the Doctor said. "I've been hit on the head much worse in my time. Pity we didn't get to see how well the rescue was going."

Trevor came back out from one of the exam rooms and headed over to the two of them as soon as he spotted them. "What's happened?" he asked.

"Just a little bit of a rescue attempt gone wrong," the Doctor said. "She'll probably object if I don't get looked at first, I think."

"Fucking trolls is what happened. stop that." she said smacking lightly at The Doctor's (not Trevor) hand. "What the fuck are you trying to do? Feel yer brain?"

"Always wondered what it'd feel like," the Doctor said with a chuckle. "I'm not too bad, I think. Just a lot of blood, that's all. You get a lot of blood with two hearts."

"Two hearts?" Trevor shook his head, trying not to think about that too hard for the moment. "I think the lady would be quite right in insisting you get looked at first," he said, leading them both back to Exam 6 (http://community.livejournal.com/fandom_clinic/242487.html?thread=6738743#t6738743).
