FTEC, Sunday Evening

Stark arrived for his usual Sunday shift and did his usual checking of the exam rooms before settling down in his usual position at the desk. TV on, of course, because background noise was a good thing.

Aziraphale had intended to stop by the clinic after breakfast but there was no clinic post woe, but the decision to get some baking done and be able to bring a treat to the patients laid up there had him spending the day in the kitchen instead. So just after dinner, while Wilson was cleaning up, the angel put together a care package and headed to the clinic.

Stopping at the front desk, he smiled at the young man there and said, "Good evening, my dear. I was hoping I might check in on a couple of your patients?"

Stark looked up as Aziraphale entered.

"Yes, yes. Of course," he said, nodding. "Do you know where they are?"

"Er...no, I'm afraid I don't. I understand that Nadia Santos and Sister Rosette are here. Are there others as well?"

Stark shook his head. "Only those two as far as I know. I can show you which rooms they're in," he offered.

"That would be lovely, thank you," Aziraphale replied, smiling. He juggled the packages in his arms and set one on the desk. "Would you like some tea and biscuits?"

Stark was not one to turn down an offer of food, or one of tea. He nodded, returning the smile. "Yes. I would. Thank you."

"You're very welcome, my dear. Just baked this afternoon. And by the way, since I don't believe we've met, despite the amount of time I seem to spend stopping in here, I'm Aziraphale."

He held out his hand, holding the other two care packages under his arm.

Nadia was still curled up on her side. Though her cough had died down a little bit, she was still feeling exhausted and achy from the events of the week.

After checking in with Stark at the front desk, Aziraphale stepped quietly into Nadia's room. Seeing that she was awake, he walked around the bed and stood nearby.

"Good evening, my dear," he said softly. "I've brought you a care package, if you think you'd like it."

Nadia eased herself up into a sitting position. "Thank you. Dr. Wilson said you might come."

Helping to pull a pillow up behind Nadia for support, Aziraphale smiled at that. "Did he really? That was good of him. He told me last night that you were here, although of course he couldn't tell me much about what had happened or your treatment."

He pulled up a chair and sat down, laying one of the packages on the bed next to Nadia. "I brought you some tea and biscuits, if you feel up to eating anything. You don't have to right now, of course."

"The food here isn't very good. I'd like some tea, I think." Nadia didn't comment on the treatment or what had happened, just gave a one shouldered shrug and adjusted her sling. "I'll make sure to get to class tomorrow, though."

Since there was no reason to try and hide anything from Nadia, Aziraphale produced a teapot of hot water and quickly brewed her up a cup of tea. Holding it out so she could grasp it with her free hand, he shook his head and frowned.

"Not if the doctors here say that you should stay in the clinic, my dear. I'm certain your friends will bring you notes and such, and of course you'll be excused from anything you miss."

Nadia held the teacup up under her nose and mouth and closed her eyes, almost curling around the rising steam. "I've already missed one lab, though."

Aziraphale chuckled, and poured himself a cup of tea. "I won't tell you that you have to miss class, but if you come tomorrow and I don't see a significant improvement, you may find yourself back in the clinic anyway. And I have a feeling the doctors won't be very pleased if you take off without their approval. I know how doctors are, you know, I live with one."

"El Pistolero? Mostly because he wanted to prove that he was better than me. The other was probably that he was being paid an enormous amount of money by a Mexican drug cartel to do so."
