Christian checked on Zuko and Walter and then settled behind the desk for a hopefully quiet day of downloading porn medical journals.

Pippi nodded. "That's good. How many classes did you miss?"

"Two, not that I'd call Music a class," Zuko replied and if Pippi dropped by after Lorne in the afternoon, he would probably scowl at the teddy bear.

Zuko glared at the bear which actually wasn't all that little. "It doesn't have one."

"It's nothing! It's not even real!" Zuko wondered if Lorne had given it to tortue him.

Pippi reaches out and touches the bear, then picks it up and bounces it on her knee.

"Feels real to me." she said. "Soft too, see?"

She might me trying to tickle his nose with the bear.

Zuko tried to jerk back, only there was no jerking back in the hospital bed and so his nose got tickled. He was going crosseyed as he tried to shove the bear away.

"Yes. I see," he said through gritted teeth. He really didn't get the bear thing. At all.

Pippi sat the bear next to Zuko in the bed and pat its head.

"There we go." she said. "You can think of a name later."

"Yes. Later," Zuko said, clearly not planning to think on it much. "How have you been?"

Zuko frowned and asked over so tactful. "Is he?"

"He probably is." Pippi said. "We'll figure it out though."

The look Zuko gave Pippi wasn't entirely unsympathetic. "I am certain that you will."

"It was pretty stupid for him not to say anything." Pippi shook her head. "Anyway. What are ya gonna do when you get out of here huh?"

"Why are boys always so hungry?"

"We're still growing," Zuko replied.

Pippi wasn't sure that was it quite but accepted it.

"Did you get to perform your song? Or is that yet to come?"

"Tomorrow, I don't think I'll have to do it now," he said, not seeing too bothered about it.
