Christian checked up on the clinic's patients then settled behind the desk for the day.

Zuko looked up from his book and maybe this was one visit he wasn't entirely suprised about. "Hello, Pippi."

"Hi. In keeping with tradition, I have brought you food." she said holding up a basket."

"I didn't realise there was a tradition," Zuko said, closing his book and putting it aside. "Thank you." Apparently getting hit by lightning meant that he was politer than usual.

"Well, there is among my friends and I." she said entering the room, the smell of dim-sum wafting along with her. "Being in the clinic means not having to eat clinic food."

"I have had better," Zuko agreed, his stomach grumbled as he caught the scent. "I don't think they order from the god Jeff."

"No, I think not." Pippi smiled as she unpacked a variety of dumplings and stuffed rolls. "I would have come to visit you sooner but ~~you didn't ping in yesterday ;)~~ I only just got around to catching up with the radio broadcasts and heard you were in here... I'm afraid I've not been a very good big sister lately."

Zuko carefully pushed into a sitting position and eagerly looked at the food. As she had heard the news on the radio, he figured she also knew who he had fought with. "Better than my real sister."

"Well, I suspect she is not the sort of sister by which I would measure my performance." Pippi said fixing him a plate and handing it over.

"Perhaps not," he agreed even if his father seemed to think his sister was perfect. Zuko didn't point that out, though, as he rather dug into his food. "This tastes like the food in my world."

Pippi nodded and bit into a pork filled roll.

"I thought it might." she said. "It's from the Chinese resturant. I went there over the weekend and I thought of you. Seeing as how your clothes and writing were similar, it seemed likely that the food would follow the same path."

It took a moment before he replied as he had just taken a rather big bite. "Yes," he agreed. "Peter brought me a book on weapons from this world. It would appear that even those are rather similar to the weaponary I'm familiar with."

"I don't think they had fire bending in China though... Not recently anyway."

"You think they might have in the past?" Zuko asked curiously.

"Sure, why not? Anything's possible."

"But there isn't any proof," Zuko realised.

"Maybe not that anybody's found yet. But that doesn't mean that it isn't so."

"I suppose," he relented, chewing thoughtfully on his dumpling.

"I mean, your people didn't always know that Fire Bending was possible, ya?"

"I..." Zuko frowned at Pippi. "I don't think anyone remembers a time when we didn't know about our bending skills."

"I suppose that's pre-history for you then huh?"

"I believe so," he agreed.

"When you get out of here, I'll take you to the resturante." Pippi said after a moment. "So hurry up and get better."

There was the hint of a smile. "I can assure you that I will do anything to get me out of here faster."
