FTEC - Monday Evening [10/23]
Wilson had tacked a note to his office door saying that he'd have office hours on Tuesday, then spent another quiet day resting and getting the apartment in order while Phale was up at the school holding class. Sharing a small snack with his lover, the young doctor kissed the angel goodbye on the promise of dinner, dinner later and had packed up and headed down to the clinic.
With a brief stop at The Perk for a Maple Latte. Yum!
Whistling softly he came into the clinic and set down his stuff, checking in briefly on Marie and Zuko, careful not to disturb them, Wilson read through their charts, checking on the notes made by the other doctors, then he headed back up to the front desk.
Coffee was started and soon the little radio was playing some classic Glenn Miller. Wilson had his laptop open and was working on lessons for the rest of the week as well as starting to pull together an idea for a class offering in the Spring. Parents Weekend had totally given him this idea.

Front Desk - 10/23
Re: Front Desk - 10/23
handwavilypicked up Italian tonight -- portabello and cheese tortellini, a green salad, and fresh Italian bread with garlic and herbs. The scent wafted across the room as Aziraphale walked in the door."Good evening, love! I hope your patients are doing well."
Re: Front Desk - 10/23
"Evening, Raphale." He said softly, kissing the angel's cheek before burrowing into the bags eagerly. "This all smells wonderful, extra cheese just like I like."
Pulling out the salad, he set it on the counter for Phale to break into before turning his head and peeking down the hall.
"Quiet, for the most part. Resting, which is the best thing for them really."
Re: Front Desk - 10/23
Returning the cheek kiss, Aziraphale set about helping unpack their dinner, and then produced a bottle of sparkling cider.
"I'd have brought wine, but I thought you'd probably not be willing to drink it on duty, so we have cider instead."
Re: Front Desk - 10/23
He sat down and started in on the salad.
"They might enjoy a visit, if the rooms don't end up overrun by other students." Wilson said with a knowing grin, crunching into a tomato.
After he'd chewed and swallowed, it was his turn to ask. "How was class today, love? I'm sorry we didn't have time to talk earlier when you got home."
Re: Front Desk - 10/23
Cocking his head at the papers on the desk, Aziraphale asked, "What are working on?"
Re: Front Desk - 10/23
After eyeing the food containers, Wilson simply scooted closer to the angel so that they could share the tin with the torts in it.
"Seems Parents Weekend left a string of casualties behind." He said a little ruefully.
Re: Front Desk - 10/23
Aziraphale raised an eyebrow at the stack of papers, and pondered them quietly for a few moments while they ate. Finally, he looked over at Wilson and said, "Are you certain you aren't taking too much on, love? With the clinic and teaching classes?"
Re: Front Desk - 10/23
Angel's were notoriously difficult to get off track, at least for long.
Flopping down into the desk chair, he tapped lightly at his laptop, staring at the screen thoughtfully and waited for Phale to return.
Re: Front Desk - 10/23
Which meant, of course, that the angel did.
Coming back in the door, Aziraphale smiled warmly, setting down the requested maple latte and then taking a seat, his own cup of spiced tea in his hand.
"So then, love...clinic work twice a week plus extra shifts, two classes a week, and office hours twice a week. As well as research papers, and don't think I haven't seen the letters coming in with requests for speaking engagements. Are you certain you're not taking on too much?"
Re: Front Desk - 10/23
"I...honestly I don't know, Aziraphale." He said softly, lightly spinning the laptop. "But...well, I don't want to let off on the clinic but I might back down to one course for the spring."
Wilson tried not to be stupid and Saturday had wiped him out. That wasn't fair to the angel and Wilson was tired of ruining his personal relationships through the dedication to his work.
"So, trying to put together a really good one."
Re: Front Desk - 10/23
Aziraphale wasn't about to suggest he cut back on the clinic. Medicine was Wilson's calling, and he needed to practice it, not just write about it. Despite how tired he'd come home on Saturday, and the way the angel could see that old urge to shoulder all the world's pain creeping back in, Wilson was plainly happier now that he was back in the clinic. And Aziraphale was not about to try and take away anything that made his lover happy.
"Just...so long as you aren't working yourself into illness," he said softly, with a warm smile that said he wasn't about to nag on the topic. "I'd like to help with some of the cooking for Sunday, love, if you'll let me."
Re: Front Desk - 10/23
"If you think, with my not getting out of here till 2am on Saturday that you're not helping with the prep work, you're nuts my dear."
Re: Front Desk - 10/23
Re: Front Desk - 10/23
"Good evening, Lana. Of course you can go see her, she's awake and would probably love the company."
Walking over to the counter, where the left over Italian was neatly stowed in containers, with the bread wrapped up on top, Wilson dug out a couple packets of utensils and napkins.
"Do me a favor? I promised her food. Food and a friend is just what the doctor ordered, you mind taking this back to her?"

Light knock on the door.

"Hello there, Marie. How are you feeling?"

Re: Exam Room 1 - Marie d'Ancanto
"That's probably going to be the case for awhile. Try not to push yourself or stress yourself. Your body had a pretty serious shock to the system."
Putting on a double pair of surgical gloves, he turned to the bed with stethescope in hand.
"I need to run your vitals, see how they've improved since this morning, okay Marie?"

Re: Exam Room 1 - Marie d'Ancanto
"Yes, I was on duty, Saturday night. I'm a little surprised you remember...but that's a good sign." He said softly before pausing to listen to her heart rate.
Reaching for the blood pressure cuff, he fitted it carefully on her arm and performed that little task as well before speaking again.
"Everything looks good, you hungry?"
[ooc: Did you want to spring Marie tonight or later? :D]
Re: Exam Room 1 - Marie d'Ancanto
[ooc: hmmm, I'll let her stay one more night and get released during Christian's shift tomorrow.]

She started to set the food out on the tray table where Marie could reach it. "How are you feeling?" she asked. "I'm sorry I didn't stop by sooner, just... Parents Weekend, you know."
