FTEC, Monday Morning

Granny set up her cauldron on the desk and started brewing up a potion to treat the Mauve Plague*. It was always best to be prepared.

Once the cauldron was safely bubbling, she went to check on the patients.

*A distant and much more serious cousin of the Black Plague.

Everyone knows that the mauve plague is far worse than either the black or red plagues.

Walter has been doing one of four things since he fell asleep the night before - sleeping, taking pain medications, eating, or brooding. The last is a killer. At the moment he appears to be sleeping.

Yet not as terrible as the Maroon Plague.

And don't get me started on the Fuscia Plague. . . .

Nadia was giving Furrball the fisheye after the dream she'd had.

"That better not have been you," said Nadia.

"Mew," said Furrball.

Veronica stretched awake and yawned.

Then she blinked. "How did Furrball get here?"

Nadia looked over and shrugged gingerly. "Jamie brought him over last night. You were asleep."

After her conversation with Tim (http://strongestgirl.livejournal.com/41815.html?thread=272471#t272471). Pippi sent Mr. Neilson off to find Old Man and do some things she couldn't.

She's laying in the bed, looking up at the ceiling.

Mauve is the intergalactic symbol for "danger" of course!

Sometime in the early afternoon, Nadia finally made it out of bed and down the hall. Everyone last night had told her that her friends would be fine, but she wanted to see for herself.

She told herself she was stopping in the doorway because she didn't want to wake Walter up. Not because she was scared. That'd be silly. It hadn't been him. She knew that.

So, yeah. She didn't want to wake him up.

Except on earth, where they're always getting it wrong.

Sometimes I wonder exactly how many exam rooms we could fit into the clinic. And then I realize I probably don't want to know.

"Oooh," Veronica said, biting her lip. "I, um, kind of met him yesterday. Parker called and asked me to feed Furrball and I didn't know you had a new roommate, so I sort of picked your lock and surprised him."

At some point during the day, Silent Bob appeared, a rather bedraggled bunch of flowers in his hand. He knocked before entering, hovering by the door uncertainly.

Don't ask how he knew. He just did.

Nadia blinked. "Is that when you tasered him?" She shook her head. "I think he thinks you're my sister."

Pippi tilted her head up and was all at once pleased, surprised, and mortified to see who it was.

"Hi."

We could fit the whole school into the clinardis!

...I should stop saying things like that, or they might come true. Eek!
