FTEC - Sunday

Allie had seen all the children running around the dorms after her clinic shift the day before. And she'd listened to the radio last night. She deduced that something strange had happened to her classmates and, though she had no idea what or how she was spared, she knew Sundays were Janet's day in the clinic and it sounded like Janet was too young to handle it, so she got up and hurried out of the dorms and opened the clinic.


[ooc: should be around most of the day, but have a few errand-type things to take care of, so responses may be slow.]

Allie blinked at the small girl and her kitten. She thought she might know who she was.

"Alanna?"

"Uh huh! Hi Allie!" Alanna scampered up into a chair. "I'm supposed to be working here today." She informed Allie proudly.

"You are?" Allie was really glad she had decided to come in today. "I thought Janet usually worked on Sundays."

"Uh huh! She handwavey asked me to!" Alanna felt very grown up.

Allie smiled. "Wow, you must be very important," she said. It was obvious that Alanna didn't realize she wasn't supposed to be so small and Allie wasn't about to clue her in. "I thought I was supposed to work for Janet today," she lied. "Maybe I can help you?"

Alanna glanced down to where her feet didn't even reach the floor. "Sure! You're tall so you can reach things I can't!"

"That's right, I can," Allie agreed. "Did you have breakfast yet?" she asked, concerned that none of the kids were being fed properly.

Alanna pondered this. "I had an apple and a cupcake. And Faithful had some milk."

"That's not a lot of food for a big girl like you," Allie said. "There's brunch at the diner, want me to go get you some food?"

She wondered if it was wise to leave Alanna alone in the clinic for a few minutes, but figured there wasn't that much trouble the girl could get in to in such a short amount of time. And besides, Tommy was upstairs if there was any big emergency.

"I can go to the diner!" Alanna bounced off of her chair. "Faithful wants milk." Faithful wanted a nap. "Do you want anything?"

"How about a banana?" Allie asked. She figured it was safer to let Alanna wander the town than to leave her in the clinic. At least she didn't have to worry about her getting hit by a car or anything.
