Grissom enters the lobby earlier in the evening, and nods in greeting.

"Hello. Is Ms. Cameron available for visitors tonight?"

"Yes, she is," Trevor says, smiling and pointing to the third exam room. "You can go on back."

"Thank you." Grissom returned Trevor's smile, and shuffled off toward Allie's room.

Lilly stirs in her sleep ~~because I'm breaking her out of here tomorrow morning, omg~~ probably because she's having dirty dreams about her morning sponge bath thanks to Dr. Troy.

Allie's awake and starting to feel much better. She's still itchy from the burn scars, but she doesn't need the pain meds today.

Grissom knocks lightly on door frame to Allie's Exam Room, a bouquet of tulips in his hand. He's not really a Get Well balloon/stuffed animal kind of guy.

"Dr. Grissom," Allie says with a smile. "Come in. Sit down. I'm really bored today."

"I imagine there are only so many reruns of Bitterwoman on to watch in a single day." he smiles softly, doing his requisite half-waddle into her room.

"These are for you," he says, offering her the flowers. "Oh, and I have this as well," he adds, fumbling with the bag over his shoulder before pulling out a new copy of this (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/0805350861/104-7642167-4547114?v=glance&n=283155) and a box of colored pencils.

"The pencils are more precise than crayons, and markers bleed."

"Thank you," she says, taking the flowers and holding them to her nose. "They're wonderful." She puts them aside and takes the other items.

"Well, this will definitely give me something to do tomorrow," she tells him with a smile. "That was really very sweet of you."

"You're welcome." He takes a seat, and his expression becomes slightly more serious. "How are you feeling?"

"I'm starting to feel better," she says. "I didn't need any pain medication today. The burns are at the itchy stage." Allie shrugs. "I'm hoping they'll let me out soon."

"I'm sure they will soon. You're recovering quite nicely, although they should give you something for the itching," he adds with a grumpy glance at the door, as if that will make a nurse appear.

"Have they let you go outside yet?"

"The doctor this morning gave me some cream," Allie tells him. "It helped for a few minutes. And, no, I haven't been outside yet."

"Are the doctors still worried about infection?" he asks her directly, knowing she has been reading her own charts in all likelihood. "Maybe we can spring you out of here, at least for a few minutes," he whispers in a conspiratorial tone.

"No, that passed the other day after all the blisters were drained," she says. "They were only keeping me because of the pain meds."

Allie's eyes light up at the idea of leaving her room. "You think?"

His eyebrows rise up his forehead, and he winks, standing up and walking to the doorway, looking up and down the hallway before disappearing for a minute or so.

When he comes back, he has a wheelchair. "Care to go for a ride?"

Allie grins and swings her legs over the side of the bed, getting ready to stand up and move into the chair.

Grissom rolls the chair over to the bed, and gives her a reassuring smile. "Do you need any help?"

She considers. "Probably. I haven't used my legs in over a week."

He extends both arms out to her to grab on to, careful to position himself so he can slip an arm under hers if necessary if she starts to wobble at all. Over-protective much?

Allie grabs both arms and carefully lifts herself to her feet. Her legs are shaky, but don't completely give out. She manages to get herself seated in the wheelchair without falling over.

She smiles up at Grissom. "Thank you."

"It's not every day I stage a prison break," he shrugs a little, before pulling a blanket from the foot of her bed and laying it carefully over her lap.

"It's warm out, but I have some experience with hospital fashions," he says sympathetically, before walking around and wheeling her out into the hall.

Allie is all smiles as she gets to look at something that isn't the same four walls she's been looking at since she woke up on Saturday.

"It was really nice of you to stop by," she says.

He takes them down the hallway, and struggles with the door a little bit as he takes them into the courtyard.

"I apologize that I didn't make it sooner once you regained consciousness; I'm sure you've heard about everything that's been going on."

Allie takes a deep breath of the fresh air before responding.

"Yes, I heard that Bel was arrested. But he didn't do it. He came to see me yesterday. I'm glad he's out."

"That's the gist of it," he says quietly, parking her chair next to a small bench so that he can take a seat next to her. "We found some evidence that was able to clear him - I was working to help the police analyze it," he says with moderate success at keeping his sneer in check at the mere mention of the local troopers.

Allie nods. "Veronica stopped by the other day. She said she was going to try to help, too. And Lilly told me all about the stuff she did back in Neptune last year."

"She's a determined young woman, and she helped immensely. She's quite the investigator."

"That's what Lilly said, too," Allie says. "Apparently she solved Lilly's murder case."

Grissom gives Allie a rather serious look, but his expression doesn't break. "That doesn't surprise me in the least."

"I'll have to thank her once I'm out of here. I knew Bel didn't do it."

"Don't tell anyone, but I didn't believe it either. He's a good young man who has risen above a difficult past."

Grissom paused for a moment, imagining that Bel's past was probably darker than either of them fully realized.

"He values your friendship a great deal, Allie, and I admire the way you stood by him."

"He's never been anything but nice to me," Allie tells him. "And he promised me when I found out that he was a demon that he would never hurt me. I had no reason not to believe him."

Part of him winces a little at her naivete, but part of him envies it.

"It's easy to believe the worst, so logically the opposite is true as well."

"How are you feeling? Cold?"

She shakes her head. "Not cold, but maybe a little sleepy," she admits.

"Why don't we head back in?" he says as he stands up and grips the handles of the chair.

"High pollen count today, makes my eyes itch," he adds with a smile.

"I'm sure the fresh air will help me sleep well tonight," Allie says as they head back inside.

"I'm glad to hear it," he says as he maneuvers the halls with a bit more grace this time around, getting Allie back into her room with no problem.

At the side of the bed, he makes a few adjustments and turns to her. "How are your sea legs?"

"I don't know," Allie tells him honestly. She slides to the edge of the wheel chair and puts her feet flat on the ground before pushing herself into a standing position.

She's got a death grip on the arms of the chair, but manages to shift herself to the bed without any incident.

"I'm really glad you came to visit," she says to Dr. Grissom as she settles back in to the bed.

He rearranges a few things for her so that they're in easy reach.

"I'm glad to see you doing so well. How much longer do you think you'll be in here?"

"If I make it through the night without needing pain meds, I might be sprung tomorrow," Allie says. "But hopefully Saturday at the latest."

"Well, if you need anything let me know. I'll leave my number on your desk here, and I'll make sure to stop by this weekend."

"I should let you get some rest."

"Thanks," Allie said, stifling a yawn. "I'll call you if they let me out."

"Good night, Allie. Take care. Sleep well," he says as he gathers his things and heads for the door.

Allie yawns again and snuggles under her blanket. "Night, Dr. Grissom."

Late Thursday night, there is a shimmering, and Bel, looking a bit like hell, appears with Lana clutching one arm, and Kiki draped unconscious over the other. Lana quickly reached over and took Kiki.

"I've got her from here," she assured him with a nod. "Thank you."

As Bel shimmered away again, Lana lowered Kiki into a chair and looked around frantically.
