Clinic [2/12]

Susan opens the clinic just to check on Ivanova. Hopefully the girl is well enough to go back to the dorm today.

Ivanova was awake. And bored out of her skull. And growing irate at being cooped up.

"Good morning, Ivanova." Susan checked Ivanova's pulse, respiration, and temperature, then sighed and shook her head. "I'm going to release you for now, but I seriously think you need to see a specialist. Or another telepath. I don't know what else to do for you right now."

The important part of what she just said was that she was leaving. Leaving! Yay!

"I don't want to see a telepath. The only telepaths that I think we have on hand are the ones who will turn me over to the PsiCorps," she replied, sitting up and swinging her legs off the bed. "But . . . if I can find one who won't, I'll . . ." She couldn't even finish that thought.

"Let me know, first," Susan said sternly. "I want to be there to observe. And I assume you'll keep your Wednesday appointment, as planned? Because I'm seriously worried about this. I don't want to find out that you slept through four days again over a week later. All right?" She sighed. "You can go. Call me if you have another seizure *immediately*."

"I'll keep the appointment," Ivanova assured her. She didn't remember having a seizure, but took her at her word. It was one of those things she didn't really seem inclined to think about. "And I'll tell Lyta to snitch to you about everything, alright?"

She leaned against the bed. "Could you hand me my cane?"

Susan handed Ivanova her cane, and made sure she had her meds. "Have Lyta call me if she has any questions. And *take* those if you're in pain, please? It can't help your recovery if you're exhausting yourself or stressing yourself with more pain. And they helped with the seizure, so I want to be sure you have them."

She signed Ivanova out and shook her head. "See you on Wednesday. And keep your dream journal!"

"I will, I will, I know, I will see you, and I will," Ivanova replied as she limped out of the clinic. "Thanks for your help, Dr. Pevensie. Goodbye!"
