The clinic is open bright and early, but Dr House is nowhere to be found. If one looks hard enough, he's on the floor in the office, behind the desk, with his iPod headphone in his ears and a not!puppy on his chest. Interrupting him would not be wise.

He slips out around 11am and heads in to town. He returns on a motorcycle, which he parks in front of the apartment door. It's a Triumph model, and it's his new baby. Touch it and die. He had it specially ordered and designed to accomodate his leg and his cane.

He has an appointment to speak with the principal, so he completely by passes the clinic and heads down to talk to him.

House will be scarce today, due to getting the motorcycle and talking to the principal. Hopefully one of the assistants will step in and cover any tags House! mun is *not* available until after 3:30 pm est in any case

Alanna came into the clinic, deep in thought about something.

House stirred from his place on the floor. his back could only take the hard surface for so long. He stood and stretched and let Cash out in the court yard.

"Alanna."

Alanna nodded at Dr. House. "How are you feeling?"

((ooc: Sorry, mun kind of...nuts today.))

House shrugged. "I'm off to the mainland to take care of some business." He ushered Cash into the apartment. "I'm just fine." Lie. "How are you?"

Alanna riased her brows. "I'm pretty good."

"Good, good. Excellent. Glad to hear it." He pulls the apartment door closed. "I don't think he's very happy with me right now."

Alanna peered at Dr. House, a bit confused. "Who isn't?"

"My dog." House arched a brow at her. "He doesn't like being left behind when I go out." He shrugged. "I guesshe'll get used to it. Are you sure you're okay?"

Alanna smiled. "Yeah, aside from being really, really cold this weekend."

"Right. That was pretty bad. Glad you're okay, though. Sorry I couldn't help out in the gym. Couldn't really justify going out in weather like that."

Pippi comes flouncing in to visit House.

He's emerged from his office and is at the desk, scribbling on a piece of paper. He looks up when Pippi comes in. "Hey." He smiles, Pippi is one of the few people he doens't mind seeing. "Hope this is a social call. I'm heading out in a few minutes. Appointment on the mainland."

"Of course it is! Why should people only come to see their doctors when they are sick or hurt? How rude!" She smiled at him.

"Oh, I can come back later if you're just going out. I'm sure it's very important, are you going to see the man who helps you with your leg?"

House shakes his head. "Can you keep a secret, Pippi?" He asks and grins at her. "I'm going to pick up a motorcycle."

"Of course I can keep a secret!" She said grinning back, "I never did tell anybody about Old Mr. Bangydoo's 'unfortunate French disease'!"

"Ooooh! A motorcycle! ~~Isn't that what guys your age buy when they're having a mid-life crisis?~~ Will you show me when you bring it back?"

House grins at her. ~~You hit the nail on the head, sweetheart. One midlife crisis coming up!~~ "Of course I will. I'll even take you for a spin around campus if you want." Odd, how just a few minutes with her and he felt better.

"Come by tomorrow, or any day this week." He says with a little conspiritorial grin.

"Or everyday this week!" said Pippi clapping her hands. ~~"OMG if you kill yourself in a motorcycle accident I'll never use another mode of transportation then ship or horse again!"~~

House laughs. "That's the spirit. Every day, you got it." He reached up to ruffle her hair a little. He really didn't know how she did it. His chat with the principal just got a little harder to think about.

"I can't wait." she said. "I wish I could go with you... But we're not allowed to leave the island." she crinkled her nose.

"Sucky."

"That is kind of sucky. But I'll take you anywhere you want to go, on the island, tomorrow, yeah." House smiles. "But right now I have to go, I don't want to be late."

[OOC: He'll also tell her he's leaving, tomorrow. he hasn't talked to Dewey yet, so he hasn't officially made the decision]

"Okay, have fun!"

She holds the door open for him and heads into town after waving.
