Clinic Hours - Tuesday January 10th 2006

Though he was running a little late you try getting dried apple pie filling off the next morning but the Clinic was soon bright and inviting (as much as a Clinic could be) with the fresh scent of coffee wafting through the air and a certain oncologist kicked back with a crossword puzzle stack of paperwork.

Doctor is in!

"A puppy? Everyone's getting a puppy. Angel's got two, only one of them's human." Parker sighed. "Well, yay on the Vicodin, then. And yay on friends. Wish I could manage that," she muttered.

Then she shook herself. "Anyway, I was here to give a blood sample. I heard what the Principal said in the announcements, and I know mine's hard to match-- AB positive-- so I thought I should have it on file in case of any other medical emergencies this semester."

Parker followed him back to the exam room, and rolled up her sleeve. "So did you have a good break? Aside from the break-up, obviously. I didn't make it to Mr. Phale's Christmas party, so I don't think I've seen you since way before Finals."

Parker braced herself for the needle, trying not to tense up too much, her face blank. "A friend of mine was there, I don't know if you met him-- Jarod? He had fun. Also, some mistletoe kisses. I hope you got as lucky."

"Does Jack Harkness count?" Parker asked, looking cheerful. "And yeah, Lorne let us have champagne at Caritas that night. Much fun was had and survived by all." She added hastily, "But I'm not drinking more than once a month. Really. I don't want to get sick this term." She rolled her sleeve back down, and studied his face. "Hmmmmm. How good *was* your New Year's?"

"Tacit disapproval received and understood," Parker said, eyes glinting with amusement. "Yup, safer than safer than safe. I'm on a birth control patch, we're using condoms-- and not just for water fights-- and I even track my cycle. Rory Gilmore's one of my best friends, but I don't want to deal with what her mom did. Ack." She grimaced. "Are Lisa and Alanna going to be here again? I don't mind talking about this with you, but some of the other girls, especially the new ones, might."

She smiled verrry slowly, and giggled, getting to her feet. "Congrats on that. I'm sorry it wasn't Dr. House, I guess, but I'm glad you're not moping. Can I have another lollipop?"

Parker grinned. "He switched hiding places? Damn." She pouted. "Guess I'll have to come back when he's here to see if I can't get him to spill. Although that's less than likely."

She grabbed another orange lollipop and said, "Thanks, Dr. Wilson. See you later!'
