Clinic Hours - Tuesday January 10th 2006

Though he was running a little late ~~you try getting dried apple pie filling off the next morning~~ but the Clinic was soon bright and inviting (as much as a Clinic could be) with the fresh scent of coffee wafting through the air and a certain oncologist kicked back with a ~~crossword puzzle~~ stack of paperwork.

Doctor is in!

"Someone said you people wanted to play vampire."

"You came to the right place." House looked up from the charts he was working on. Yes, he was doing his own charting. Imagine that. He was baffled by it himself.

He dug a clipboard out of the mess that cluttered the desk. "Fill this out."

Blood Type: Delicious? No, I don't know.

Health Complaints: None

Walter worked his way through the form and passed it back to the doctor when next he came by.

House scanned the paper. "You don't know your blood type?" He qurked a brow. Well, not everyone did, he supposed. Kids probably didn't think about that sort of thing. Unless they had a reason.

He shook his head and pointed. "Exam One."

"I've never had to receive blood, and in my work, I give enough outside the doctor's office."

Walter hopped up and took a seat on the table in Exam One.

House washed his hands and tugged on a pair of gloves before moving to theexam stool. "What line of work?"

"Butler, although that's not really a high-impact job. The vampire hunting is what usually gets me into trouble."

He watched the doctor clean up and kicked his feet restlessly against the table's drawer.

"I can imagine." House gave him a little smile. "I imagine that's a rough job." He prepared Walter's arm, and the needle. "You have any previous medical history I should know about?" What? He didn't look at patient files that closely.

"No. Nothing special. You'll see me a lot for stitches, probably, but other than that, I'm healthy as a horse. Well, a healthy horse.

"But they said you wanted people who deviated from the human norm, and I deviate where I'm from at least."

"My experience before took this job was completely human. So, anything not earth normal, I havne't encountered before. A sample of the blood from willing individuals will help me, if and when I have to treat you for mysterious or unfamiliar injuries later on." House eased the needle toward his arm.

Walter watched the doctor approach him with the needle as though he was going to run for the door and shook his head. He rolled up his sleeve to reveal an arm covered in scars ranging from hair-thin to a couple that had to have been serious when they happened.

"Just stick it on it. I've had worse."

"Relax, you won't feel a thing. Yes, I am that good." He flashed a calming smile. "Been doing this a lot of years." He showed no reaction to the scars, because, well, he didn't so much as let people look at his leg. But if they did? He didn't want to see anything questionable in their eyes.

When she has some free time, Aeryn stops into the clinic. "I heard the PA announcement," she explains.

House is sucking on a red lolly pop. He looks up and tugs it out of his mouth. "I just love playing vampire. Fill this out," He hands her a clip board, "and slide into Exam Two."

[OOC: Just saw this and am about to pass out for the night...slow play till tomorrow? Or FTB and have it on record that Aetyn gave a smaple?]

She fills out the form to the best of her ability, given that she doesn't know half the information they're looking for, and goes into the exam room as instructed.

[SP tomorrow works, cuz she's one of the alien types who might need to give actual information. I'll be around sporadically throughout the day.]

He follows, with a steady thump of his cane. The usual hand washing and gloves before he sits down and glances over the dorm.

"Anything I should know befoe I attempt to do this?"

[OOC: *nodnod* I work till 3ish est, so I won't be around before that.]

She was telling everyone else this week, might as well have it on record here. "I'm Sebacean, not human, though there doesn't seem to be much of a physiological difference. I'm not sure how much of a problem that could be," she says.

"Well, we'll just grab some blood and find out." House nodded and prepared a needle. "Arm," he instructed. And what is Sebacean? Where are you from?"

"'Alien,' space-born, so I'm not from any planet," she says, sticking out her arm automatically. "I've been explaining this a lot this week."

"I promise not to hol it against you." House gave a little smile and moved toward her arm with the needle.

"I wouldn't expect you to. No one else has," she shrugs.

"Well good." He watched the blood flow into the vial. "Anything I should know about the blood before I run tests?"

"It's probably similiar to humans'. I haven't run into a situation to find out." She pauses. "But apparently I don't have bird flu."

"Well, that's good. We really don't need an epidemic of that around here." House pulled the needle out and secured the blood asmple. "I appreciate you giving me this."
