Alanna walks into the clinic, her mind pretty far away.

House looks up when she comes in, easily assesses she is distracted,a dn whistles to get her attention.

Alanna looks up at the whistle. "Oh. Good Afternoon sir, I didn't expect you to be here."

"And yet, here I am." He gives her an amused look.

Alanna rolled her eyes. "Do you need anything done, sir?"

[OOC: Sorry, diestracted by Emmy snad such]

"No, I'm good. Do you need anytihng, Alanna?"

"No sir, I just came in here to well, work. Any files need re-sorting, sir?"

((S'all right. Anyone interesting win yet?))

"Help yourself," Hosue gestured at the filing cabinent. "But I think Lisa's been keeping it up to date."

[ooc: Hugh was robbed. ROBBED!]

[OOC: No kidding! Grrrrr. I'd have been okay if it had been Kiefer (die hard Kiefer fan, but I don't think he deserved it for last year, except for the scenes with Audrey after Paul died...) That Emmy IS so Hugh's. James effing Spader stole it from Kiefer last year, and now he stole it from Hugh and ...Grrrrrrrrr. I need sleep and I'm too restless to sleep.]

[ooc: If not Hugh than Ian McShane who did a kick-ass job on Deadwood this year. One word: gleets. But dude. DUDE. Totally robbed. Though at least Three Stories won. I yelled out loud when that happened.]

[OOC: As did I, except at first I thought they were saying David Fury for the Walkabout episode on Lost. When I realised it was David Shore, I about jumped out of my chair. At least they got that, and Hugh got the nom and anybody with half a brain knows JS didn't deserve that statue. *sigh*]

[ooc: Walkabout did kick ass, so if it had lost - no pun intended - to that I could've lived with it. Just like if Hugh or Ian had lost to each other. But JS? No way.]

Allie enters the clinic, hoping to find someone else there. She hasn't been actually worked a shift since her orientation, but she is hoping a Sunday night will be quiet.

She is surprised to see Dr. House in his office.

She knocks hesitantly.

"Dr. House?"

"Allie," House looked up, and gave her a slight smile. "Nice of you to come to work. I assume you are here to work?"

She gives him a shy smile in return.

"Yes, I'm here to work. I'm surprised to see you here on a Sunday night."

House shrugs. "Wilson's sleeping, nothing else to do. So here I sit. Don't worry, I'll let you handle any incoming traffic."

"Who's Wilson? And I hope we don't get a lot of traffic tonight. I'm kind of worn out."

[ooc: and I'll also be watching the Emmys soon!]

"Wilson is...Who is Wilson?" House looked up at the ceiling as if he needed to think.

"Head of Oncology at my hospital. With a little luck, he'll be your new boss."

"So Wilson is a colleague of yours? That's nice."

Allie realizes what House said.

"Are you leaving, Dr. House?"

House gives her a look. "You couldn't be that lucky, sweetheart. No. Looks like Dr Wilson will be staying with me, may as well offer him a position, don't you think? If I can get Principal Connor to approve it."

Allie blushes slightly.

I really need to get that under control... she thinks to herself.

"Well I'm glad to hear that, Dr. House. I think I can learn a lot from you about becoming a doctor. I hope your friend gets a position here, too."

"Don't you worry your pretty little head, Allie-cat." House reached over to tap her shoulder. "Dr House isn't going anywhere."

Allie's blush deepened at both his nickname and touch.

"Um... so... is there anything that needs to be done? Restocking of supplies or filing or anything?" she stammered, hoping to be able to escape from his icy blue gaze.

"I don't know. Havne't stepped foot in this place since Friday night. Why don't you look around and see what needs to be done? Dr Hosue likes a go getter who's not afraid to take the bull by the horns."

"Okay," she says.

She looks around and notices a huge stack of records on his desk.

"I think I'll start with the filing."

[ooc: going with the canon idea that Cam takes care of House's paperwork]

"It's all yours, Allie-cat." House gives her a wink.

[OOC: Works for me. Between Allie and Lisa and Alanna, he won't have to do a thing *g*]

Allie flushes again and turns away to start organizing the files.

[OOC: OMG FLAIL - David Shore won an Emmy for writing Three Stories!!]
