Stark had arrived at the clinic with one impossible child. The 2 improbable children were with Summer, hopefully not wreaking too much havoc at the store.
Calli was carrying leftover cupcakes as well as a box containing a chess set. Stark was carrying coffees, as usual.
Stabby's tank was empty when they arrived. "He's at the beach with the lobsters and their children," a nurse explained. "Took the day off for family."
Calli raised one small eyebrow at that but said nothing as she started setting up the chess board for another lesson while Stark passed out the coffees to their intended recipients.
The clinic was open, the crab was having a beach day, and the alien was trying to learn chess from an impossible child.
