The crawfish were back. Though Stabby wasn’t preaching this time, so far as Will could tell. Instead he, the crawfish, and the nurses all seemed to be having a rather animated discussion.
“Book club,” explained one of the nurses. “Want in? I’m sure you could catch up pretty quickly.”
Was that commentary on how quiet the clinic tended to be? Maybe.
“Sure,” Will shrugged. The nurse handed him a copy of the first book in the series and Will flopped down in his chair at the front desk to start reading.
