Stabby must have been very good at being a where-crab, because, when Libby came in that Thursday, he was still gone from the tank, and the nurses were still looking for him.

Well, more than likely, the nurses had sort of stopped caring, but, being updated on the situation (and with her Crab Union shirt proudly pulled on over what she'd worn in), Libby was giving it some thought.

"He isn't on any of the shell-ves?" she checked, unable to help a faint grin, and the nurses gave her a slightly withering look.

"What about the supply claw-set?" she tried.

"Maybe he went to the mainland and caught a taxi-crab to Baltimore?" She was really on a roll, huh? "No! To Crab-lanta!"

"Stop," pleaded one of the nurses, and Libby sheepishly hunched down a little with a small, apologetic smile.

"Sorry," she said, and went back to her work.

Or...well, tried to. She found herself mostly just trying to think of a good way to squeeze a pinch pun in there somewhere, too.

Where crab puns are both very welcome and extremely frowned upon, depending on who you ask.

There were no crab puns here, but there was a boyfriend, showing up bearing lunch. Hopefully, that was acceptable?

"Hey Libby! How's the shift going so far?"

A boyfriend bearing lunch was always acceptable.

Well, it probably wasn't, by some standards, but those were clearly standards that Libby had firmly decided to leave behind in Tennessee.

"Hi, Kurt," she smiled over from the computer where she was working, immediately rolling her chair away because whatever she was working on was clearly now on full pause. "So far, so good. It's been quiet, mostly just trying to figure out where Stabby might be. Apparently, he's pretty good at hide-and-seek. How has your morning been?"

"Guess quiet mornings at the clinic are a good thing," he said with a grin as he walked over to the desk where Libby was. "And things are good here. Just spent the morning in the kitchen whipping up something for us."

And as was tradition, Kurt set down the bag on the table with a grin. But this time, he didn't start unloading everything as he turned to Libby and smiled, holding his arms out to give her a hug if she wanted.

"It's good to see ya Libby..."

And Libby, as was tradition, was about to roll her chair back to grab another chair to bring over for Kurt, but when she realized the intention of those arms, she felt the immediate flush of heat to her cheeks...to her whole face, really...and a moment of reluctance. One that was swept away pretty quickly, though, remembering last week, and, even, a few weeks well before that, laying in the grass, looking up at the clouds...

The hug back that resulted in all of this managed to find a teetering balance between eager and shy, and in no rush to pull away.

"It's good to see you, too, Kurt," she said. "It's always good to see you. It's kind of funny, though, isn't it? That when we don't have classes, no one seems to get out as much..."

Kurt gladly accepted the hug, shy or not, as a grin spread over his face. He considered what Libby said and nodded slightly, still keeping the hug going a bit.

"It's quite the change to the norm with classes and all" he agreed. "But the summer session will be starting soon and I cant wait to see what classes they have this time around! The summer ones always seem to be a lot of fun!"

"They really are," Libby agreed, also lingering there in the hug a bit longer, but, eventually, the guilt of feeling like she was doing something wrong, especially for just enjoying being close to Kurt like that, crept in and filled her with an almost squirming feeling that made her, reluctantly, pull away. And she used that to go get Kurt's chair, so they could just sit and, in sitting, keep a respectable distance and not be tempted to close that gap again.

"Do you know what you'll be taking yet?" she wondered, as she returned to her own chair.

Kurt reluctantly let go and smiled as he took the chair and took his seat behind the desk with Libby, as was their little tradition.

"I'm still trying to decide. The Professor is letting me choose my classes for the summer so I can pick whatever I want, which is nice... but also a little overwhelming in a way" he added with a small laugh. "Have you narrowed down your choices yet?"

"Oh," Libby said with a laugh, "I've practically had them picked out since the schedule was released."

Like a neeeerd.

"But I'm taking Mr. Sidon's class again, and the one about photography, the one about dinosaurs, and Ms. Beniko's Galactic field trip one. I....should probably take care not to get aa lost on that one as I did Dr. Lecter's field trip class!"

"Oh I'm definitely taking the dinosaur class again!" Kurt said with a grin. "It was a really interesting class before. Professor Cutter actually brought a real dinosaur to class one day! And I was thinking about the photography one..." Kurt said as he looked over at Libby a little shyly, realizing that would mean they'd have two classes together. That was a good thing right? That wasn't stalkerish or anything... they were boyfriend and girlfriend after all right?

"The description sounded like a lot of fun," Libby said, maybe trying to sound a little convincing, a little nudging, in maybe swaying Kurt a little bit closer to the class, "and it sounds like a good excuse to get out and explore the island more. I'm hoping to get a lot of pictures to send Zo, even if I'm not much of a photographer. Maybe I'l luck oit and one of the assignments is pictures of thumbs and fingers blocking the lens."

"Hey you got some good ones on the school trips lately," Kurt said with a grin and a slight nudge as he thought back to some of those photos, where they were, who they were of, and where they had been taken. "I am sure you will do fine. And ya know what.. I think I will go ahead and sign up for the class too" he added with a win and a grin.

A blush sprung up onto Libby's cheeks again at that grin, this one just a soft smattering of pink rather than the burning spread that the hug had inspired. "Good," she decided. "That'll make it even more fun. Maybe we'll even get to work together...or..." Her grin went a little crooked. "Against each other. It'll be a pretty good motivator, although if it involves going all around the island, you do already have an advantage over me with your porting."

"Nawwww no porting around, that wouldn't be fair... unless we are working together of course" he replied with a crooked grin of his own. "It definitely sounds like a good fun class though. We should have some good pics you can send to Zo and that I can send to the folks!"

Hopefully, things don't reach a point where her punniness lands Libby herself in one of them.
