Fandom Clinic; Thursday [03/16].

Libby was definitely hoping for a much quieter day than she'd had on Thursday, and she was still definitely a little worried that she hadn't seen or heard much of Five since last week, but she, herself, had been pretty quiet and reserved all week, just sort of coming to terms with the fact that, if this was really what she wanted to do with her life, that sort of thing was something she'd, unfortunately, just have to get used to. And it was oddly kind of inspiring, too, seeing the two firemen who'd brought him in know exactly what to do and to handle it with an almost casual coolness, even making jokes, but she supposed, maybe, if you dealt with a lot of situations like that, you almost had to...

Either way, it left her very thoughtful and quiet all week, but the way she took to her work for that day at the clinic with a determination and focus made it pretty clear where she'd landed on the whole 'is this really for me?' question.

Even if it was a little hard to focus during the brief kerfuffle that occurred when one of the nurses came in with a very controversial take-out order for everyone.

"No, no, no," the other nurse sighed with exasperation. "I was explaining to you about the crab and raccoon! Not telling you to bring in crab rangoon!'"

The Clinic is open!

Hey, the firemen totally needed to make jokes because it was a perfectly valid method of dealing with things.

Or bottling it up! That was Eddie's thing, though. Don't take Eddie's thing.

But there he was, being a real Bobby about things and checking in on the poor kid who had things dumped on her. "Hi."

"Eddie," he said to help her out. Because it wasn't like he was a captain or anything.

"Everything is quiet this week--" Somewhere Buck was despairing at the q word. "--just checking in on the place."

He meant her.
justalittlerepressed: (uuuh that doesn't look great)

Eddie followed her gaze at the crab and then back, a little lost for a moment. "Oh. Oh! I didn't think there was actually any real crab in those things."
justalittlerepressed: (maybe say that again)

"Oh, it's fish byproduct," Eddie said helpfully. "Which I know thanks to people calling 911 in a panic thinking it'll trigger shellfish allergies."

And Buck. Buck was a font of random knowledge.
justalittlerepressed: (crap they want me to open up)

Eddie shrugged because he did not have an answer for that one. "If I've learned on thing in this job its that you'll never really understand some people's thought processes."

"Oh no," Eddie said quickly. "You'll see a lot of that if you continue on with... this."

He gestured around the clinic to illustrate it.
justalittlerepressed: (smiling)

"Well, good," Eddie said with a grin. "You did good for the mess that last week was."
justalittlerepressed: (I can do this)

"No, just stuff on the radio," Eddie said with a look that said the kid kind of scared him a little bit for already taking off from medical care.

Also because he'd definitely been a biter in transport.

Because Five was a feral cat. Always.
