Fandom Clinic; Thursday [02/09].

In a way, Libby was somewhat grateful that another carcinisation debate had sparked up between the nurses that day. Sure, it was distracting her from her studying, but she was probably going to be pretty distracted today, anyway. Her big Valentine's Day date with Kurt was coming up here pretty quickly, and she wasn't sure if she was ready for it. Zo was telling her there was nothing really to be ready for, it was a dumb holiday anyway, she should just go out and have a good time, and that sort of thing came pretty naturally to her. But Zo didn't really understand what a big, nerve-wracking deal it was for her. Or maybe she did, and she was just trying to make Libby feel better by trying to convince her that it wasn't.

Either way, she was more than happy to listen to them debate how humans were actually a great example of carcinasation, and it was only a matter of time before they all evolved into crabs. Of course, Libby thought it was all ridiculous, because why would they be turning into crabs, if humans were already made in God's image? They would stay human-like, in that case.

Unless God was also a crab, and this evolution thing was him just playing the long game, but she was definitely keeping that thought to herself.

The Clinic is open!

"Hey Libby," Kurt said as he walked into the clinic that afternoon. He hoped he didn't look as nervous and excited about the upcoming date as he felt.

"How's it going?" he asked with a cautious nod towards the nurses who were still seemingly debating something amongst themselves. "Are we ok still for our usual lunch plans?"

"Well, good thing I decided to come by today then," Kurt said with a grin, as if there had been any doubt he would come around for lunch that day.

With the grin still firmly in place, Kurt took the chair and sat down, placing the familiar bag on the desk between them.

"Kept things a little simple today, but hopefully you still like it," he said as he began taking things out of the bag for them. "Made up some spaetzle and veggie stirfry for us. And I also brought the silverware so no need to risk the mystery drawer," he added with a quick glance to the desk drawer in question.

"Well, better save that sense of adventure and all for next week right?" Kurt said with a small wink, trying to hide the nervous flutters he felt realizing just how close it really was.

He tried to distract himself by dishing out the food and getting the plates ready before handing one over to Libby. He wanted to tell her about what he had planned, and he was actually terrible at keeping secrets.... But this was one surprise Kurt was bound and determined not to mess up. So, he searched around for a topic that was somewhat safer.

"So, how's Zo doing? Have you talked to her any lately?" That was safe... right... right?

"College is a big step to take," Kurt said after a moment's thought. "I never gave it much thought myself really. School never seemed like it would be an option for me at all so.... haven't really given much thought to college."

Kurt fell silent a moment as he finished dishing up the food and poked at his with a fork a bit.

"I think I'd like to do something that would help others... maybe something that would let me work with politicians and other leaders, to help humans and mutants live together more easily...." He looked up and gave a small grin. "It would help others and also fit with the work I would do with the X-Men later on too, right?"
