Fandom Clinic, Monday 1/16
There was a tiny banner on Stabby's tank reading Happy Birthday! with some crab stickers on it.
"Is it his birthday?" Stark asked.
"It was yours," a nurse told him. "You know about birthday weeks, right? You can keep celebrating."
"But it's a birthday, not a week."
"You can celebrate as long as you want. And Stabby didn't get invited to the party so he wanted to have something here!"
"Oh," Stark said. "Thank you? I did bring some of the leftover cupcakes." The cake ones. The others didn't keep as well. "And coffee." He set both down and then went to sit down at the desk.
The clinic was open, the alien was in and flipping through his new cookbook from Watts, and the crab was keeping the birthday celebrations going.

She smiled a little at her unknowing. "And it seemed, well, greedy, maybe, to 'ask' for presents. I didn't realize that it was sort of a way to let people be kind to you, to express what you mean to them."
Re: Front Desk
"I need to thank people for their gifts."
Re: Front Desk
Re: Front Desk
That was an understatement.

Not an adjective he used for himself very often at all. Almost never.
"Thank you."

She smiled at him. "Yes, they are. So if there's one you don't like feel free to come in and trade it for a different one. Or if you tell me what you like I can make one special for you."
