Fandom Clinic; Thursday [11/10].
After Libby had finished her usual rounds and tasks at the start of her clinic shift, she settled in behind the front desk to turn her focus onto some of her training modules and lessons on the computer like she usually did every week, only to find that there was a familiarly shaped game controller waiting for her.
After sending a skeptical look over toward Stabby's tank (who, for the record, was oh-so-innocently not paying any attention), she turned her attention back to the computer to see that the lesson that awaited her was very, very different from all the reading and testing she would usually be doing.
And it was all very interesting, sure, but, after a while, frowning she had to admit, "I really don't see how this is supposed to help me with nursing..."
She didn't know why she bothered to say it outloud, because she knew the nurses would just shake their head in dismay like she still had so much more to learn on her journey to true nursehoood.
The Clinic is open!

The Front Desk - 11/10.

"Hi, Kurt," she said, smiling over at him, a smile that went a little wry as she lifted the controller. "I'm learning how to be a crab today, apparently. How are you?"

She was glad that Kurt seemed just as confused about the crab thing as she had been; the nurses almost made her feel like she was missing some very key, cultural element. But if she didn't get it, then neither did Kurt, and that was fine by her.
She rolled her chair back to grab another one, and pull it up so he could have a seat next to her.
Re: The Front Desk - 11/10.
He gave Libby a smile as he took a seat, setting the two bags down and pulling one over closer with a grin.
"Been feeling a little homesick with the holidays coming up and all, so I decided to make one of the meals we used to eat a lot once the weather started turning cooler. Hope you like grilled cheese because we have that and some potato and sausage soup to go with it!"
Re: The Front Desk - 11/10.
The second bag was getting a little bit of a curious headtilt, but most of her attention was going into carefully opening the utensil drawer, just in case it was filled with coffee again.
It was thankfully not, so she plucked out a couple of spoons and closed it with far less caution.
"I'm honestly a little excited," she admitted, "so see what the holidays are like out here. It's always been a fairly quiet sort of thing back home, but I know it's very different most other places."
Re: The Front Desk - 11/10.
"I wasn't sure what your plans were for the holidays so didn't know how much you would be around once classes are done. Wanted to make sure our lunch dates didn't suffer too much if we were going to be away for the holidays coming up."
Because it was oh so conflicting to know whether to make a quick trip home for the holidays or stay here and hang out with Libby and anyone else sticking around during the break.
Re: The Front Desk - 11/10.
"But I'm not sure yet," she then admitted, eager to move on from that thought, "what my plans are going to be. Zo threw around the idea of celebrating with her family this year; they're not religious, though, so she says it's mostly just an excuse for a big meal and gifts. I think my Grandma Jean might want to do something big, too....I think she feels she needs to make it up to us, since she's already missed so many Christmases..."
Re: The Front Desk - 11/10.
Kurt took a few bites, trying to keep his eyes off the other bag. Finally he couldn't take it anymore and looked at Libby.
"So, I have a little something for you. It's nothing big, I... just wanted to get you some little something before all the potential holiday insanity hits.". Here he gave Libby a shy smile. "Do you want it now, or in a bit?"
Re: The Front Desk - 11/10.
"A gift?" she asked, glancing toward the other bag for a moment before her wide eyes went back to him. "For me? Really?"
Oh, but she didn't have anything for him! Should she have? No, it should be fine, he said it was early, but now she really would have to get him a gift in return...
