Stabby had a hockey stick with him in his tank, which-

"You know, actually, that tracks," Will said with an approving nod. "Good choice, buddy." He tapped the glass lightly with his knuckles.

Stabby tapped back with the tiny, crab-sized hockey stick.

Once Will got settled in for the day, one of the nurses came by demanding to see vacation photos.

"I didn't go to France," Will protested.

"You went somewhere. You weren't here last week."

"Yeah, Chicago. Where I lived before I came here."

"Did you at least go to a hockey game?"

"No." But only because there hadn't been any.

"Ugh, boring," declared the nurse with a shake of their head.

Where there's a hockey crab. And a doctor.

It was time for Liz’s five month check up so she and Prompto headed to the clinic around lunchtime.

“Hi,” she smiled when they approached the front desk.

[Prompto nodded with permission!]

“Liz, hey,” Will said with a smile. “How’s it going?”

Liz smiled, “it’s been going really well,” she told him, “this month has been a lot better than month,” she added, glancing up at Prompto with a smile.

"Heh." Prompto breathed out a little laugh as he returned Liz's smile, cheeks flaming a bit pink with that very familiar, very odd mix of pleased pride for having helped with that and extreme guilt over being the reason it would ever be a concern in the first place.

"Regular meals," he reported, "plenty of water, frequent exercise....just as the doctor ordered."

"Glad to hear it," Will said. "Why don't you two come on back to the exam room, then?"

No hockey crabs. Could be a doctor.

"Nothing too involved today," Will told them. "Just checking in to make sure she's continuing to grow at a normal rate, as well as answer any questions you might have."

Liz nodded, shifting a bit as she got comfortable, “that sounds good,” she told him, “I haven’t been feeling too bad lately, I just get more tired easily,” she admitted.

“That’s to be expected,” Will said with a nod. “Takes a lot of energy to grow a person, after all.”

“I’ve been able to sleep more,” Liz told him, “I’m finding it easier to sleep again,” she added, since she had had a lot of trouble sleeping before Prompto came back.

"Excellent," Will said encouragingly. "Nothing worse than being tired but still unable to fall asleep, right?" Well, there were a lot of things worse, technically, but he was clearly joking.

Liz smiled at that, "I definitely prefer being able to sleep," she agreed, "I feel a lot more relaxed than before," well it helped the fact she could get more than three hours of sleep at a time now.

"You sound more relaxed, if you don't mind me saying," Will observed.

“I don’t,” Liz assured him, “it’s been nice, not being stressed as much, especially having Prompto back,” she added, looking over at Prompto with a smile before she looked back at Dr. Halstead.

"Good, good," Will said as he got everything ready to take the ultrasound. "The exercise is meant to help with that as well- but of course don't overdo things. Listen to what your body's telling you, and stop when you need to."

May be slow today, so many meetings. So many.
