Fandom Clinic, Tuesday
Today was technically Will's first day back at the clinic, but he'd super handwavily stopped by the day after he'd gotten back to pick up the paperwork that had piled up in his absence.
And boy, had it. Turns out that while the nurses had been perfectly happy to do all the paperwork necessary to keep the place running while there hadn't been a doctor on staff, once he'd arrived that had become his responsibility.
That he had actually left didn't seem to matter, because he'd come back. Apparently there had even been a betting pool.

Re: The Front Desk
Billy had spent much of that morning debating with himself about even going to the clinic. It probably wouldn't do any good. Could even make things worse.... but that might just be the suffocating paranoia he felt about everything right now.
Eventually the shred of his common sense and self-preservation won out and Billy bypassed The Perk, absently wondering if his Jumbo mocha monstrosity was sitting on the counter waiting for him again. He paused outside the clinic for a moment and then walked in.
"I'm, I'm looking for Dr. Halstead" Billy said, hoping he was remembering the name the barista had dropped the other day correctly.
( Welcome back to Fandom Will! XD )
Re: The Front Desk
"That's me," he confirmed. "What can I do for you?"
Re: The Front Desk
Bit of an understatement there Billy boy... And he knew he had to give him a bit more than that to work with.
"I... haven't been sleeping much lately.. like at all. Tired of trying to figure it out on my own and... at the urging of a... friend (and the realization that the closest thing he had to anyone he could call a friend was a barista he barely knew hit Billy really hard at that moment) urged me to try and get some help with it. So... here I am," Billy said with an attempted smirk.
It really did say a lot when the local baristas were trying to stage an intervention on your behalf didn't it?
Re: The Front Desk
“All right,” Will decided. “Let’s get you set up in one of the exam rooms and I’ll see what I can do for you, Mr… ?”
Re: Exam Rooms
"Billy... Billy Coen" he said in reply, that little slip of giving his actual name just further proving how out of it he really was. "You can just call me Billy. Everyone else does nowadays."
Re: Exam Rooms
Re: Exam Rooms
"No trouble falling asleep" Billy said with a cold snark. "Actually, its the sleeping that's the problem. I... I fall asleep and the majority of the time... it ends with me waking up from a full blown panic attack caused by nightmares."
Billy paused, not just from the twinge of panic he felt any time he thought about the nightmares and flashbacks let alone talked about them... but also from the way Will was likely judging him. A big ex-marine, bothered by dreams and flashbacks...
"I... I know it sounds pathetic. But... they're bad enough that I don't want to sleep. Bad enough that I... I haven't slept... in quite a while."
Re: Exam Rooms
"It doesn't sound pathetic," he countered, his tone firm. "I can write you a prescription for a sedative, but I can't stress enough that it's not a long term solution. Dreams are an important part of how our mind processes things. Yes," his mouth twisted into a bitter smile, "even the shitty ones."
