Fandom Clinic; Thursday [02/03].

The weather outside definitely made Libby feel grateful for an excuse to just stay put and nice and dry in the clinic, where it was quiet enough that she could just let her mind wander a little to the sound of the rain on the roof.

She tried not to let her mind wander too much, because she also had work and some studying to do, but there were definitely moments that caught her and swept her away, so much easier to fall into now when there wasn't someone constantly demanding her attention or needing help like at home, and that was okay, too. It was kind of nice. The last month had been just a big old whirlwind, and that always made her appreciate the quieter moments that were still so strange and new to her, but greatly appreciated.

Without any jumping or porting, and definitely without any desk sitting this time, Kurt walked into the clinic later that day. "Hey Libby" he said with a shy smile, still feeling silly about what all had happened on that very, very weird day.

"We had a big breakfast in the dorm this morning. I knew you... you had your shift today and wanted to make sure... you had something to eat." He held out the bag with a slight grin.

Considering the weather, Libby certainly wouldn't have blamed Kurt if he'd had just ported in, and was maybe a little surprised that he hadn't. She felt she probably would have!

There was a bit of look for the fact that now she was never going to catch up on making up all these meals to him, but it was kind of hard to be that mad about anyone bringing you food, so she grinned a little back.

"Well," she stated, "at least I know I never have to worry about going hungry with you around! Thank you, Kurt. That's very kind of you."

Well now, who was to say he hadn't port-hopped his way over to the clinic to avoid the worst of the snow and ice?

He gave Libby a nod and then shrugged. "I would be a terrible friend if there was all this food in the dorms and I didn't make sure you at least had the chance to enjoy it as well."

"How have things been here at the clinic?" he asked as he leaned over, not sat or laid thank you very much, on the edge of the desk. "How's classes and all going so far?"

Libby would point out that Kurt didn't need to come all the way out here for her to enjoy it, since she'd be headed back to the dorms again anyway, but she definitely wouldn't want to belabor the point and just smiled instead.

"Well, thank you," she said, again. "And things have been pretty quiet here...which is good! Of course! And classes are....well, they're a bit of a mixed bag, I never thought I'd be learning how to pick locks! But it could be useful some day. How 'bout yours? You have that photography class today, don't you?"

"Yeah it's the same here pretty much. Got a few basic classes like PE, a few odd ones like Mythbusting and Galactic Evil Empires, and then some really surprisingly fun ones like the photography class!"

He held up his camera that was still around his neck. "On my way to that class in a bit actually. Got some cool pics from last class and a few from around the dorms and around town. Would you like to see some of them?"

"Of course I would!" said Libby, her interest clearly sparked as she leaned forward to hopefully make it a little easier for him to show her. "Do you have any particular favorites? I'm sure they're all great, but if you had</i to pick a few..."

"I really like the bird's eye shots from class. And the shots down that one street ~~handwavey~~ by the dorms with the cool buildings and all got some nice shots too I think!"

"Those are really good!" Sure, Libby didn't know the first thing about photography, but she did know that the pictures looked pretty neat, and that was what was important, right? "But how did you get the shot from up above like that?"

As soon as she asked, though, she laughed, shaking her head as she realized. "Oh, right, the teleporting?"

Sometimes it wa just easy to forget, that just...teleporting could be a thing for some people.

"Close" Kurt said with a wink. "The tail comes in handy for all kinds of things, even taking wicked cool photos" he said with a chuckle. "But thanks, glad you like them!"

Oh, well, if the tail came into play, then that definitely would have made it a shot she would have never have been able to get, even if she did know how to work a camera. Libby grinned a little, shaking her head.

"Is photography something you were interested in before you came here, too, Kurt?" she wondered.

"Not really" Kurt said as he flipped through a few more of the pictures in the display screen. "I mean no more than a passing fondness for snapping pics of the team here and there like anyone would."

He grinned as he pulled out his phone.

"Speaking of which, I have a few on here of the team actually. Let's see we have.... a picture of everyone right before I came to Fandom High . And one of Logan that he was not too impressed with me for. And one of Scott and me flirting with some of the girls when I looked a bit... different..."

Kurt held the phone out for Libby so she could see the pictures easily.

As usual, Libby certainly hopes they won't be needed, but they're definitely there if they are!
