Last week Stark had been followed to the clinic by tiny horses. This week there was a small flock of chickens wearing little capes accompanying him.
"I don't remember chickens before," he told the nurses when he handed over the cookies and coffee he'd stopped off for before coming in. "Certainly not ones wearing clothes."
The nurses were unfazed. They did comment on how cute the little capes were and Stark had to agree. "I suppose they just want to be warm." Assuming, of course, the chickens had had any choice in the matter. They seemed to be enjoying their capes as far as he could tell.
He hadn't brought any coffee for any birds. He did offer them some cookies which they were happily pecking at while he settled in at the desk to see what needed doing today.
