Gabrielle hadn't known it was Donut Day when she stopped by J,GoB on her way to the clinic and picked up a couple of boxes; it just happened to be a fortunate coincidence. (That happened to her a lot; so often, in fact, that she didn't really stop to think it was strange about 98% of the time.) One of the nurses knew, though, and informed her of as much as soon as she spotted the donuts.
"There's a day for that? Really? What isn't there a day for?"
By the time they came up with a random mundane object that they were sure didn't have its own designated day, for the thirtieth time, Gabrielle was really regretting asking the question (rhetorical as it might have been) at all.
