FTEC, Thursday, (9/15)

For once the nurses weren't teasing Scully about weirdness that had happened; apparently a great many of them had felt the need for testing after whatever they got up to last weekend. They were speculating if that big ball of clones had walked out or just dissolved, though.

The FTEC was open, and more than a little relieved to be normal.

Continuing his daily ritual of people he had insane interactions with over the weekend, Bruce made his way over to the clinic today. "Hello, Dana. No floating pie plates today, right?"

"Hello, Bruce." Wow, this felt like... there should be dramatic music in the background. Except then he made the pie pan remark and she had to grin. "No, and I don't know what that was about. Showing off my Physics Ph.D, I guess."

"So true," Scully said. Then looked sheepish. "I'm sorry I tried to kill you. Or actually did. I was a little fuzzy on that part, with your body disappearing."

"I barely survived and fled while you were distracted," Bruce said. "I managed that trick a few times over the weekend."

Because he practiced it in real life, surely. But nobody knew that.

"Good to know," Scully said, mildly relieved. "The rest of it..." She shook her head, mystified. "How many wives did you wind up having?"

"Only you and Lucrezia were revealed to be wives. Quinn was an ex," Bruce said. "If the strangeness lasted another week, who knows how many there would have been?"

"Considering how many weddings were happening, probably another three," Scully replied, then carefully, "Are we good? With the whole ... accusing you, and everything else? The baby turned out to be a glowy light-bulb, by the way."
