Martha had been very grateful for the quiet of the clinic yesterday. They hadn't had many zombies come to try to get in - the nurses had been quite fierce, and Martha could only imagine that word had spread - and the lack of patients had made Martha start to wonder if they'd get through this whole thing with everyone being all right. It was amazing that she still had some optimism left in her, but there it was.

Tahiri gave him a look. "It wasn't that bad, and you left my lightsaber back there somewhere," she complained. "Okay, fine, they can check."

It had scared him kind of a lot. Shh. "I wasn't going to sift through body parts for your lightsaber," he said a little snippily.

It was easier to be annoyed than to be frightened.

"I guess I should be glad you decided to save me instead of it," Tahiri conceded, still sounding a little grumbly. Just because.

There was a touch of humor in her voice when Tahiri said, "That'd be a lot harder than having to find a new crystal, wouldn't it?"

She was still groggy, but she was trying.

Once Martha had gotten the others settled, she came back out to the front and frowned at seeing even more students. "Hi there," she said, managing a smile. "How can I help you?"

"A zombie knocked me out," Tahiri said, giving Ben a mild look. "He made a big deal about having it checked out."

"That was very smart of him. Even if you only lost consciousness for a little while, you should still get checked out," Martha said. "Let's get you settled (http://community.livejournal.com/fandom_clinic/555567.html?thread=11444527#t11444527) and I'll take a look at you. You can come too if you'd like," she added to her gentleman friend.
