Millie was happy to have new students on the island. It always made things more lively for a while. She and the nurses passed the time talking about the things they'd heard on the radio.

Ben sat down, making sure not to show how much that had hurt his joints. "There's not a lot that can be done," he insisted.

[OOC: He spent the better part of 36 hours getting tortured. His nerves were overstressed, as were his joints. Toxins went through his system and caused welts. The entire thing was set up to be pretty Jedi-healing-proof, so let's say she can fix some portion of the nervous system? At least stop him from hurting quite so much?]

Millie nodded. "Do you mind if I check for myself?" she asked, extending a hand. "It won't hurt, I promise. I just need to take your hand."

[Can do. Enchantress level healing magic should be able to at least turn the pain down some. ...And now with the correct login!]</small?

Ben nodded and held out his hand towards her.

She took his hand gently, careful not to press or exert any pressure on it, and closed her eyes. A few moments later her face darkened and she opened them again to look at him.

"Who did this to you?" she said, trying not to look as angry as she felt.

Ben's eyes went flat. "Classified," he replied. "No one here."

"Probably for the best," Millie said with a sigh. "I'd have to hurt them and then Gabriel would make me go home."

She looked at him seriously. "I can't heal this, but I should be able to make you a great deal more comfortable and speed up your body's own healing, if you allow me."

"Yeah, good luck with trying to hurt him," Ben said, rolling his eyes. "He was practically on fire and still coming."

He nodded. "Not hurting all the time would be nice," he said quietly. "Even though it reminds me not to be an idiot."

"Oh, I'm sure if I rounded up Gabriel and Christopher, the three of us might be able to make him a bit sorry," Millie said thoughtfully. "Still... Not the point. The point is to help you out."

"Lie back and relax as much as you're able," she said. "Just close your eyes. You might feel a slight tingle, but I don't think it will be uncomfortable." She put her focus into settling down the pain receptors in his nervous system and encouraging his body to heal itself a bit more efficiently.

After some time she opened her eyes and released his hand, looking a little pale and tired. "There. I think that should help some."

Ben had been trying to follow what she'd been doing on a cellular level but had quickly gotten lost.

"It does," he said, opening his eyes and giving her a small smile. "Though I was doing fine by myself."

Stubborn boy.

"Really?" Millie said curiously, wisely not mentioning whether she bought that or not. "I never have much luck working on myself. Wish I did. I can't quite get that emotional distance I need to heal."

She sat down in the chair, conserving her strength. That had been a bit more difficult than she'd thought it would be.

"I need to learn how," Ben said. "A Jedi's no good if he can't fix himself on the run. Lots of people try to kill us."

He sat up, swinging his feet off the exam table. "Thank you."

She smiled at him, waving him on his way. "You're very welcome. That's why we're here. But see if you can keep from having anything like that happen for some time, okay?"

"Okay!" Ben said, already halfway out the door.
