FTEC, Thursday [10/23]
Simon couldn't help wondering what had happened to his patient from last week, the strangely-coloured hamster. He hoped it wasn't dead, but as far as he knew hamsters were vulnerable creatures. Also, their lifespan was short compared to that of a human, which led him to contemplate the emotional crisis the owner of the hamster was likely to suffer in the not so far future. Not that it was any of his business, but other people's sufferings was a lot easier to be concerned about than one's own.
To cheer himself up he began to go through the clinic's stock of medications, learning the names of the substances available here. He couldn't help missing a few things that he usually had around even on Serenity, but kept reminding himself that Fandom should have fewer emergencies.
